Waves of Friendship

A wave of joy engulfs my soul,
As friends long missed make me whole.
Laughter echoes from deep within,
As stories of old and new begin.

In distant paths we found our way,
Yet destiny brought us here today.
Married hearts, love's sacred vow,
The anticipation, it fills me now.

Some bear the title of a mother's pride,
Nurturing love, with each stride.
And amidst this shifting life's game,
We remember friends we've had to name.

For a year or more can etch its mark,
Bringing triumphs and nights so dark.
Invisible scars beneath a facade,
But pressing on, despite life's prod.

And who would have thought, as storm clouds roll,
That we would gather, heart and soul?
The roller coaster that is life,
Forever weaving tales of strife.

But in this moment, worlds collide,
Our spirits intertwine, side by side.
Together we stand, come what may,
True friends, forever, we shall stay.

So let us revel, hearts held high,
In the sweet reunion, beneath the sky.
