I had to give that necklace back to Jere.

I had to, it wasn't like a necklace to remind him of me. It was to remind him of his mom. I'm giving it back.

Dear John by Taylor Swift played in the back as I got ready. I was doing my makeup and I had just put my hair in a claw clip. I took a big sigh and contemplated doing this.

It had been a few weeks since me and Jere's fight. I had met Matt's family. I know it's early, but he wanted me to. I heard good things about his sisters. So I did.

His sisters liked me, and so did his parents. He valued his family. It was more important than everything.

We met at the restaurant me and Matt had our first date. Best time I had in a while, for sure.

I put on my shoes and fell flat on the bed. I stared at the ceiling and the more I stared the less I wanted to get up. But I did. I left my dorm, and it took everything not to turn back.

The closer I got to his dorm, the more I wanted him not to be there. But he was.

"Hi." I said

"What do you want? " he said

"Oh pipe down. It's not like you get any bitches, so I know I'm not interrupting anything." I said

"Whatever." He said. It took everything in him not to laugh, I could tell.

"Um you left this necklace when you had ur fit the other day." I said

"I know." He said

"Listen, I don't care that it's from me. It not to remind you of me. It's to remind you of ur mom." I said

He took the necklace and sighed

"Also I found out about your little side chick. You cheated on me twice?" I said

"What?!" He yelled

"I didn't cheat on you, besides for Lacie. I swear." He says

"Jere, you don't have to lie we're not dating anymore." I said

"Amelia, look at me. If I cheated on you twice I promise I would tell you. I didn't. I swear on my life!" He said

"Prove it." I said

"When did we apparently date." He said

"Christmas." I said

"What's her name?" He said

"Amanda Richards." I said

"She was dating my friend Adam at the time. I know who your talking about." He said

"Well, maybe she was cheating to!" I said

"They moved to Arkansas. They flew in this weekend for something." He said

"To meet me." I said in realization

"I guess so." He said

"Thanks Jere. Can we be friends?" I said

"Sure Mills, sure." He said, smiling

I left and was happy. There was no beef anymore. Now I need to know what's going on with Matt.
