-I sat in my camper at the mirror getting ready, we had just arrived at the rodeo in Texas and I had to be ready within an hour. Me and my brother Cam had been rushing to get ready while out mom feeds our horses "cam where's my hat?" I asked while looking through our show closet quickly "I'm pretty sure it's with your stuff" he answered as he buttoned up his leathers around his waist. I took his advice and checked my stuff soon finding the hat "thank you, I'm gonna go tack up, Hurry!" I said with a smile as I rushed out the door to go tack up maple-

-"hey girl, you ready?" I said as I put on her halter and backed her out of the trailer, I tied her to one of the hoops on the side of the trailer and I turned to go into the tack box in the front of our trailer. I grabbed the grooming kit and fly spray, I took it over to her along with a carrot and fed her then I started a quick groom because we were short for time, I brushed her body then her mane and did one braid near the top of her mane. I then sprayed her down with fly spray and put that all back in the tack box-

-I grabbed my black western saddle and my black western show bridle that looked really nice with the blue set I just got. I placed the saddle pad on maple then my saddle, I did my girth and sinch then I moved to her head. I slipped the halter off with the reins on her neck, I know how she is so I don't bother with the extra of the halter around her neck. I slowly put in her bit and slid the bridle over her ears, I did the straps up and made sure everything was all good to go. I switched into my black show boots and went to tie her on one of the posts in the waiting alley for barrel racers-

-I raced back to the trailer and pulled out cams horse silver, I tied her the same place as I did for maple and I pulled out the grooming kit once again. I started to quickly groom her and do one braid in the same place I did for maple, I put the grooming kit away and pulled out his brown western show set with a black saddle pad, I put on the saddle and started to do the girth when cam came out "what are you doing?" He asked as he came behind me "helping now hurry it starts in 5!" I said as I got up and went back to maple, untieing her and getting on-

-"stand" I said lowly as I Pat maples neck a few times, soon seeing Cam next to me "ok cmon we are up soon" I said as I took maple to a trot and I went up to the line order director "names" he said quickly as I stopped infront of him "Parker and Cammy Hansen" I said with a smile "Cammy your up first then Parker get up there" he said as he turned and pointed to a man on a horse who stayed next to us till we entered the ring, cam went up to the man on the horse and stopped, silver trying to move forward didnt help much but he kept her back enough till he could go-

-"and here we have Cammy hansen, here with silver and they are going pretty quick, smooth first barrel but ooh that will deduct points and be adding 5 seconds, clean last barrel and what's his time. 17.88 could've been up there but a good run from Cammy Hansen!" I heard from the speakers as cam quickly sped to a gallop and raced around the barrels , knocking the second one over but overall a good run. He then passed me and slowed on the racetrack then I stepped next to the man "hey, control your horse!" He hissed because maple was rearing slightly as she had wanted to run-

-I heard the bell and let her go "and now we have Parker Hansen! With maple here, they are going fast and a clean first let's see, clean run so far, she's making this look easy! And that's a clean run from Parker Hansen what's her time. Oh OH AND WE HAVE A 16.54 AMAZING RUN FROM PARKER HANSEN!" The man on the speaker called as I did my run, my eyes widened while I slowed maple on the racetrack "we did it girl, we have a good shot at winning now" I smiled as I Pat her neck and pulled a small treat from my vest and leaned forward to hand it to her-
