01: The Ghost
Tower of Babylon A Schicksal research facility located in the Kuo Kuana tundra. It is the 2nd largest honkai energy research center in the world. The tower also houses the planet's 3rd largest honkai reactor pile.
Babylon has a total of 50 floors. Reactors are placed in the bottom 20, while 3 research divisions are located in the other 30
Advanced system lab this division focuses on integrating honkai energy with human physiology. A key result of their work would be the stigmata.
Weapons division. This division uses theories proposed by the energy division to weaponize honkai energy and produce equipment for field operations. Weapons is currently working on the pantheon series.
Energy division focuses on theoretical research related to the honkai and gives support to the other two divisions as required.
The tower of Babylon has a staff of 322 individuals. All staff members went missing for reasons unknown during the twilight hours of February 1, 2000.
"Wow, that's some great information." Dr Oobleck said.
"Twilight hours in the tundra? People going missing for reasons unknown" Glynda said, looking through the mission briefing. Glynda was slightly scared.
"No! I must be strong for Cecilia and Ruby!" Glynda said as she arrived at the tower.
"We have landed. Pleasure serving you, master Glynda." the pilot said.

Glynda was greeted by the freezing winds of Kuo Kuana.
"Welcome to Kuo Kuana, Glynda. Received orders from the overseer to make your stay comfy." A familiar voice called out.
"Wait, that is my team mate?! Pat!" Glynda said shocked.
"Out of curiosity, what happened to her?" Yang said.
"Oh nothing happened to her, she went to work at Haven academy." Glynda said.
"Pat?! It's you!" Glynda said.
"Howdy!" Pat said.
Patricia Hichsmith "The wiz" Schicksal a-rank Valkyrie. Former member of squad Snowwolf. Currently working at the intel department.
"Phew. Thank goodness you're here, Pat." Glynda said, breathing a sigh of relief.
"The briefing read like a horror show. But since an expert like you is around, I think we can find out what really happened." Glynda said.
"Yea, watching it was worse." Jaune said.
"Any leads so far?" Glynda asked.
"Sorry, Glynda. Nothing yet. The cameras were never broken and monitored things as usual, but we couldn't find the culprit." Pat said.
"I got a crew reviewing the footage frame by frame. Each of the lab staff was gone in an instant, even when there was no one next to them. We noticed some strange footage noise." Pat said.
"Damn no evidence..." Roman said.
They went to watch the video that was captured.
"This the footage noise you just said?" Glynda asked, scared.
"Indeed. Looks like an image ghost due to bad hardware." Pat said.
"What? Ghost? Did you just say ghost?" Glynda said, terrified.
"Professor Goodwitch, are you scared of ghosts?" Yang asked.
"Nope." Professor Goodwitch said.
"An image ghost, Glynda. Ghosts don't exist." Pat said.
"Almost all supernatural sightings of this world can be traced back to the honkai. I don't think this would be an exception." Pat said as she opened the Honkai logs.
"I've brought up the logs for the Babylon reactor pile energy output levels. See this? 5 minutes worth of data at about 2200 last night went missing." Pat said pointing at the drop in data.
"5 mins of data is a lot of data." Ironwood said.
"Especially, when it was during the hours when they disappeared." Ren said.
"So...My gut tells me that the reactor pile may give us some clues. But now the other monitoring records of the reactor pile sector are placed behind a security lock. Even I lack the clearance to access them." Pat said.
"Sounds like a good place to start." Ruby said.
"Honkai levels are extremely high at the reactor pile. We have to go down and check it ourselves, Glynda. We are valkyries, after all." Pat said.
"We? You mean just the two of us?" Glynda asked, still scared.
"Imagine being able to fight a big honkai beast but terrified of ghosts, Hahaha." Roman laughed, before receiving a smack in the face by a glass cup from Glynda.
"Yes. It will just be the two of us." Pat said with a smile.
At the Reactor pile sector.
The humming of the reactor could be heard.
"Hey, Pat... Did you find anything? Are we done yet? No spooky ghost thing is going to come out, right? Are you listening to me, Pat?" Glynda said.
Pat was examining a purple liquid on the ground.
"Hmm... What on earth is this? Honkai residue? Here? This is odd. There's too little of it to indicate an actual leak..." She said to herself.
"We'll need to run a full spectrum scan of this area." Pat said. But Glynda was not listening, she was still looking around wary of the place around her.
"To be honest, I expected a seasoned veteran who fought emperor class honkai beasts before to be a lot braver than this. Hmmm, she did get spooked out by a phantom horse at the "Intangible fairyland". That was so cute." Pat thought.

"Come on Pat...." Glynda said.
Suddenly someone shouted.
"HELP! SOMEONE! HELP US! THERE ANYONE OUT THERE? HELP US!"
"They sound like children." Kali said with concern.
"Kyaa! It must be that image ghost we saw in the video! It's coming for us!" Glynda said.
The student sweatdropped at their combat professor's behavior.
"No, Glynda. This is the voice of a human girl." Pat said.
