ZACH'S POV

once we walked onto the carpet i coukd tell ivy was getting excited, it made me laugh until we heard paparazzi screaming at us from left and right:
"ZACH OVER HERE"
"ZACH ARE YOU AND IVY BACK TOGETHER"
"DOES SHE SING?"
"ARE YOU EXPECTING"
"OVER HERE"
"WE NEED A QUICK INTERVIEW"
"A WEDDING SOON?"
it was so exhausting having to listen and answer these people all the time, and i didn't want to put so much pressure on ivy so we hurried up a bit into the inside of the venue because there was MUCH less paparazzi in there and more of the celebrity's embracing one another.
"hi y'all" megan walks up to me a ivy, i see her eyes go big and a smile go from ear to ear pop up on her face
"oh hey meg, how have you been" i say hugging her
"i've been so good zach! it's so good to see you! and who is this?" she ask lookin to v
"this is ivy, my girlfriend" i see a huge smile form across ivy's face and megan's as well
"nice to meet you ivy" she gives ivy a hug and starts talking to her
"are you into music too?" meg asked her
"yes, i love singing, songwriting, listening, it's all amazing." she smiles so big with her pretty white teeth
"we needa collab sometime" meg says pulling out her phone
"i have a small house studio here, if your free let's meet up there tomorrow and write a song!" she gets ivy's number and text her the address
"yes i got it, thank you so much megan! i would love to do that! i'll see you tomorrow!" ivy smiles at her and she says goodbye and she walks away to someone else
"girlfriend huh?" ivy says smirking
"you okay with that?" i ask her not realizing
"no yeah, i am." she grabs my hand and then
ivy starts freaking out and i start laughing so hard!
"okay chill out because here comes your other favorites" as i say this a group of guys, morgan wallen, bailey zimmerman, hardy and a few others walks up to us, we both greet them all
"your the guy who sings 'Something In The Orange' right?" bailey ask me
"yeah i am" i put my hands in my belt loops and ivy wraps her arm around mine.
"ah sick man! we nedda get together sometime!" morgan says to me and they all give me there numbers
"holy shit" ivy says freaking out
"this is crazy." i respond back to her
"i can't wait for all of this" she says
as we starts walking to our table with some of the guys following far behind, kane brown and his wife come up to our group stopping us for a few minutes
"hey y'all! we are a big fan of your music, and it is so amazing to meet you." kane says shaking all of our hands
"your a fan of our music?" i ask kane.
"yes! your so cool and your voice is so original! and my wife follows your girlfriend and eveyone and she talks about you all the time!" kane says as katelyn covers her face in embarrassment, ivy hugs katelyn
"let's definitely meet up sometime!" ivy says handing kate her phone and texting her to make sure she received them.
"it was so amazing to meet you ivy!" katelyn says as kane and kate walk away.
we walk to our table and on the way there ivy is in shock that someone is a fan of HER.
she kept emphasizing the word 'ME'
once we sit down, we see lainey sitting at the table next to us.
"we have a few more minutes if you wanna go say hi" i say to ivy knowing how bad she wants to
"well if you insist" ivy says practically jumping up and me following behind her.
"hey y'all! i'm ivy, zach bryan's girlfriend and meeting you has always been a dream of mine" lainey stands up and hugs her so tight, and then shakes my hand
"it's an honor to meet y'all! i love your music man!" she says looking at me
after a while of talking, the awards are about to start! but first there is a performance.
thomas rhett with jon pardi, i could tell ivy was so happy.
seeing ivy happy was all that mattered to me, she was my whole world.

after the awards have ended, we went to a after party with absolutely NO paparazzi and that was so nice, then me and ivy went back to our hotel room.
"THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN!" ivy says walking in the door and then hugging me, as soon as we pull away i just have an erge to kiss her so bad, her pretty blue eyes glistening with the moon, her long blond hair falling over her shoulders and onto her dress, her pretty white teeth showing with her amazing smile.
i lean in and kiss ivy, she pulls away and then kisses me, one thing lead to another..
i got woken up by someone calling ivy's phone, i answered so she wouldn't wake up and then slipped on my shirt
"hello?" i ask the caller because i didn't get to see who is was
"zach?" megan says
"oh hey megan! ivy's sleeping right now." i say
"oh don't even worry, i was just gonna see if she wanted to meet up in about an hour?" megan asked me
"i'm sure she would love that, we will see you in an hour." i say bye and hang up the phone, i get dressed, clean up the room and then kiss ivy to wake her up
"hey handsome." she says kissing me back
"hey megan just called, she wants to meet up in her studio in an hour" i see her eyes open so big and she sits up, bringing the blanket up to cover her
"oh my god! yes!" she says standing up, grabbing some clothes out of her suitcase and changing into them, we were staying up here in texas for three more days since i had a two more show dates to do, tomorrow and the day after.
once she is done changing, we hop in the truck and start driving there
i see ivy in the front seat humming and whistling, i turn down the radio and put my hand on her leg
the window was down and her hair was still curly from last night, she started tapping on the front dash and i smiled so big
"if you wanna sing something, i'm listening" i say as she looks over to me
"okay" she puts her hands on mine and starts humming a tune, her voice sounds so amazing, if i could i would listen to it all of the time
once we pull outside of megan's house, we were about to walk in until v realizes we forgot to bring meg something, thank god noah had a unopened pie in his back seat, i grabbed it super quick and then we walked inside.

IVY'S POV

once we walked inside, i saw a few guys and she introduced me to them all
"oh and this is my boyfriend morgan." she says as morgan WALLEN comes walking out of the hallway
"ohhhhh! it's zach bryan and his lady! good to see y'all again!" he gives me a hug and gives zach a weird bro hug
"nice to se you again" i say to him, my eyes are basically so big and i'm. freaking out in the inside, meg grabs my hand and leads me to the little room while all the guys stay out in the front
"soooo, i thought since we are writing a song together we should get to know each other at least a little better!" she says sitting down on the small couch and me sitting next to her
"i'll go first!" she smiles so big and starts to think
"so, morgan is my bestfreinds brother but i ended up falling for him and the song 'tennessee orange' is definitely about him!" she laughs a little
"i've been writing songs since forever, i just started my first headlining tour this year, i have one brother, taylor swift is my all time favorite singer, but country has always been my passion" she takes a breath and laughs quite a bit and encourages me to start talking to her
"zach was my ex-fiance, he cheated on me got married to her and then divorced her for me." i see her face go wide, and her hand raises to cover her mouth
"oklahoma smokeshow is about me, i have been writing songs since i was young. you and taylor are my favorite singers ever. i have a sister, no one else, but my roommate and i grew up like siblings as well as me and zach and his little sister." she is so shocked
"and i thought my story was crazy, dang girl why did you go back to him?" meg says
"i don't know, i jsut feel like it was a good decision to do so?" i say almost questioning myself
"i get that, just be safe girl! okay now let's get to writing" after that conversation with meg i questioned why i got back together with zach.
we walked out to where everyone else was, i saw zach smiling at me, i put on a small smile and morgan took him outside for something.
me and meg started writing and singing a bit, we eventually came up with a song and recorded it (which never happens) she wanted to edit it and release it in about a week, it was super late by then, so zach started to drive me back to the hotel, we made it into town and  i was so tired but still asked him the question that has been on my mind since the moment he called me his girlfriend.
"do you remember the night you cheated on me?" the car went silent, i sat up and zach's face went white
"of course i do, i could never forgive myself" i gulp and get a flashback

october 8th 2020, oklahoma city
IVY'S POV

i had just gotten off of my shift at the diner, i walked inside our little home, i was covered in grease and i felt so gross, i shut the door and took of my apron
"ZACH IM HOME!" i yelled from the bottom of the stairs, i heard bangs from up stairs and the bed was creaking super loud, then it all stopped and i heard zach say
"go out the window hurry" in a muffled tone.
i heard a woman say "i don't wanna leave you"
and then a kiss.
my heart broke as i ran to the window and as soon as the woman landed on the grass she looked at me and shrieked in horror, i saw zach look out of the window and he ran to the front door as quick as he could, i ran inside up to the room. i saw the bed was messed up all over the place, it was super hot in there and zach was putting some clothes on, as he was trying to convince me that is was just a mistake,
i packed a super quick bag, smashed the picture of me and him on the floor and ran out of the house until he stopped me, it was raining super hard and i was crying so hard.

IVY'S POV

"i told myself that night that i would never forgive you." i pause and he looks at me while keeping his eyes on the road
"ivy-" i cut him off
"i don't know what changed all of a sudden" he pulls over understanding what i'm trying to say
he wouldn't look at me but i coukd tell he was crying
"ivy what are you saying" he ask me
"we need to take a break" he unlocks the car
"go ahead" he says me confused
"i'm going back to the hotel, your staying here. call noah." i could tell he was pissed off
"zach you can't leave me here." i say as tears fall from my eyes
"you left me at the house for 4 weeks until i moved out." he yells and i open the door and hop out. i roll down the window and then shut it
"you cheated" spilled from my mouth
"i wrote a song about you, divorced the woman, came all the way to our hometown praying you would be at a show so i could make it up to you, i went to church, i stayed away from girls until i found you again, and you just wanna call it off?" he ask
"not call it off, just put it on hold" i say wiping my eyes
"same thing." he drives off
i panic and walk to the nearest open 24/7 store and sit down at a table calling and texting everyone i could think off, but it was 2am

i call the last person i could think of
