The next day
I wake up and arrive at school meeting up with Owen
"I told her who I was dude omfg"
"OMG WHAT DID SHE SAY??" He asks screaming
"Honestly I can't remember right now, but I'm meeting her after school"
"I-" I pause. "I think I'm in love with her, and it's scary."
"Babes never fall for a straight girl, that fucks you up"
"No that's the thing, she isn't straight! She told me she thinks she likes me" I respond

The rest of the day goes smoothly except I catch myself staring at her occasionally, I don't think she noticed but I'm not sure

At the park

I get to the park and see Liz sitting on a bench in the middle of the park, she's wearing a purple winter coat, and ripped jeans
Doesn't totally make sense to me but it's whatever
I walk up behind her and take a deep breath before I sit beside her
It's quiet for a solid 5 minutes, occasionally one of us would stutter out a few words, but never a full sentence
Waiting around 2 minutes she turns to me, looking me dead in the eyes
"Why did you want to see me?"
"Ok I get it, I totally fucked up your head, and Owens, I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry. And to make it worse I literally said I was in love with you last night. Please don't hate me Cora." She continues rambling
"Hey, I already said it's okay," I get interrupted before I could say anything more
"It's just you have always been gorgeous, one of the prettiest girls I've ever seen, and I was jealous, my friends didn't like you and to fit in I just had to hate you, I swear if I could I would change everything about back then" she says
"LIZ" I shout she looks startled and turns red, I can feel myself getting hotter
"It's okay. Please believe me, also it's really cold, do you maybe wanna come back to my place? I ask her
She nods and we both get up and walk to my house, we head inside and notice a note my mom left "went to store, be back soon love you CareBear"
I noticed that Liz saw the nick and cause she's smiling
"Shut up" I say nudging her side with a smirk
