In the tender realm where love does reside,
A truth emerges, as secrets confide,
"I love you," my heart fervently cries,
Yet in your actions, desire slowly dies.

A paradox unfolds before my eyes,
For in your presence, sweet love flies,
The seeds of doubt, they now take root,
And taint the love that was once absolute.

Your words, once honeyed, now seem cold,
Embraces lacking the warmth of old,
A gentle touch, once filled with grace,
Now betrays a longing out of place.

I love you still, this love won't fade,
But you, dear, push me into the shade,
With each careless action, each chosen slight,
Our love, once vibrant, begins to ignite.

My heart aches, shattered, still it yearns,
For the love that once danced and burned,
But, alas, this road feels so uncertain,
As love fights valiantly against the curtain.

Oh, how I long for our love to thrive,
For us to flourish, to truly revive,
But in this battle, my love loses flight,
And I fear what follows is eternal night.

Yet, hope remains, a glimmer in the dark,
That love's ember will leave its mark,
May you mend the wounds of this love so rare,
And breathe life back into the love we share.
