The sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows over the vast estate of the Zoldyck family as we followed Canary towards our destination. The air was thick with anticipation, and I decided to break the silence with some conversation. "Hey, Hisako," I began, glancing over at him, "after we get Killua out of this place, where should we head to?" Hisako shrugged nonchalantly. "I don't know. Shizuko usually plans where we go and that stuff. Go ask her." Taking Hisako's advice, I approached Shizuko, who was walking a few steps ahead. "Shizuko, any ideas on where we should head next after this?" She paused for a moment, considering. "We should explore around while you learn Nen and meet up with Kurapika. He's the one out of this group most likely to run into one of the gods we need to take down."I nodded, appreciating her foresight. Just then, we reached the mansion's grand entrance. The size of the place was intimidating, much larger than I had anticipated. We were greeted by Gotoh, the family butler, who proposed a game to us. Holding a coin in his hand, he flipped it into the air and caught it with a swift motion. Gotoh smiled slyly. "Let's play a game. Guess which hand the coin is in." I remembered this from the manga and answered confidently each time. Despite the tension, the familiarity of the game brought a strange sense of comfort. We were about to start another round when we heard a familiar voice echoing down the hall. "Why didn't you say they were here?" Killua burst through the door, his expression a mix of annoyance and excitement.
He rushed over to greet us, his eyes bright with relief. "Hey, Gon, Y/n, Kurapika, and... old man."Leorio immediately took offense. "I'm not old!" Killua ignored his outburst and turned to the others. "Hey, Hisako, Shizuko." With Killua reunited with us, we made our way down the mountain, passing by Mike and the cabin where we had once trained. Killua opened the gates, leading us towards the freedom we sought.

As we walked down the sidewalk, Gon was preoccupied with flipping the coin Gotoh had used, trying to figure out the trick. Kurapika finally took it from him and demonstrated how Gotoh had made the coin switch hands so effortlessly."How'd you not see that, Gon?" I teased.Gon ignored my jibe, lost in thought, as we continued our journey to the train station and then to the airport.

On the train, I found myself seated next to Hisako and Shizuko, gazing out at the passing landscape. The rhythm of the train lulled me into a light sleep, my head resting against the cool glass.

"Wake up, Y/n," a familiar voice echoed in my mind. "Viserrdner, what is it?" I grumbled, annoyed at being pulled from my slumber. "I'm trying to inform you about something important," Viserrdner replied sarcastically. I sighed. "Alright, what do you need to tell me?" "Kurapika is going to run into the first God soon. You need to stick close to him. He'll be working undercover with the Phantom Troupe." The revelation hit me hard. "How am I going to learn Nen in time?""Shizuko and Hisako will train you. They'll help you understand your Nen category so you can face the gods' champions." "Anything else?" "The gods have their own champions, more numerous than my own. You'll need to face them before you can reach the gods." "This is such a tiring task," I muttered. Viserrdner's voice softened. "I'll send you three to the first group of champions soon. Take them down, then follow Kurapika." I nodded, resigned. "Got it. Can I go back to my dream of sweets and snacks now?" Viserrdner hesitated. "You dream about sweets and snacks?" "Yes," I replied bluntly. "Uh, okay. Just remember what I said," he replied, a sweat drop forming on his spectral face. "At least it's better than your nightmares"
I woke up to find we were still on the train. Pulling out my handheld joy station, I started playing games to pass the time. Gon and Killua soon noticed. "Hey, what's that?" Gon asked, his curiosity piqued. "Yeah, I haven't seen that before," Killua added. "Even my brother Milluki doesn't have it." "I just got it," I said nonchalantly, not wanting to draw too much attention.Gon and Killua squeezed in to watch, forcing Hisako to move. Annoyed, he sat opposite me with Shizuko."If you wanted to sit here, you could have asked," Hisako grumbled. Kurapika and Leorio laughed at the scene, starting their own conversation. As I played, Killua tried to distract me, causing me to nearly die in the game. "Killua, if you don't stop, I'm going to throw you out the window!" I snapped, drawing attention from other passengers. Killua laughed, and I couldn't help but smack the back of his head, making him almost hit the table. Gon snickered with Hisako, while Shizuko calmly cleaned her knives and swords. "Stop laughing," Killua muttered, embarrassed.
At the airport, we discussed splitting up and where to meet. We decided on York new City in six months. Leorio was the first to leave, followed by Gon and Killua. "Are you guys coming with us?" Gon asked hopefully. "Yeah, it would be fun," Killua added. "Not this time," I replied. "We have some stuff to do first." "What a bummer," Killua sighed.Kurapika's plane was called next. He patted my head. "If you need anything, contact me. Got it?""Got it," I nodded. As Gon and Killua left, we were the only ones remaining. I turned to Hisako and Shizuko. "Let's go. We need to finish this mission in a month or less, so we can catch up with Kurapika." We boarded our plane, heading to our next destination to eliminate the groups.
As we disembarked, a bullet whizzed past my face. We took cover, assessing the situation. Devil wings and tails marked our attackers. "Shizuko, pass me a gun," I ordered. She handed me a weapon, and I took down one of the attackers with a precise shot. "Hisako, you got the left! Shizuko, the right! I'll take the middle!" We moved with practiced efficiency. Shizuko handed me a better weapon, and I advanced, taking down enemies with lethal precision. Running out of ammo, I switched to my dagger, slashing throats and disarming opponents. After clearing my side, I saw that Hisako and Shizuko had finished theirs as well. "Good job. Ask Viserrdner if there are more." Shizuko nodded. "He said there are more.""Tch, let's get this over with," I muttered. We emerged from cover, bloodied but determined. As we were about to put away our weapons, a large man fell from the sky. "I was sent to kil—" We shot him in the face before he could finish, his body falling backwards. "Shut up, you're a nuisance," I spat. We headed to the hotel Viserrdner had arranged for us. Entering the lobby, people stared at us—bloody and battered children. I approached the receptionist.
"Reservation under Viserrdner." The receptionist stammered, "O-oh, ye-yeah. Rooms 203 , 204 and 205!" "Thank you, and stop yelling," I said, irritated. As we walked to our rooms, Hisako spoke up. "You didn't have to be so harsh on the poor guy." "He wouldn't speak up," I retorted. In my room, I went straight to the shower, washing off the blood and tracing over my scars. Some were deep, others superficial, each a testament to our battles. Clean and dressed in pajamas, I called Hisako and Shizuko for a meeting. They arrived, and Shizuko threw a circular disc on the table. Viserrdner's hologram appeared. "They knew we were here," I began. "We were ambushed at the airport." Viserrdner frowned. "It seems they have connections. This might be more troublesome than I thought.
For now, focus on training Nen and enhancing your abilities, Y/n. Hisako will plan our next move, and Shizuko, I have something to give you." We nodded in unison. "Got it, old man/skelly." "I'm not skelly or old!" Viserrdner snapped. "But you are," Hisako and I replied in unison. Viserrdner hung up, frustrated. The twins left, and I walked to the window, gazing out at the beautiful city. The journey ahead was daunting, but with my friends by my side, I knew we could face whatever challenges awaited us.
