When Mo Lingqiu was released, his lips were red and swollen, and his glasses had been taken off.

He caught his breath for a moment before reaching towards Jiang Chenming. “Give me back my glasses.”

Jiang Chenming smiled gently and helped him put them on. He then kissed him on the cheek, feeling satisfied.

Mo Lingqiu pushed him away and got into the driver’s seat. Jiang Chenming hastily followed, sitting in the passenger seat before smiling at him.

Mo Lingqiu quickly calmed down. His earlier loss of control made him embarrassed, so he chose to silently start the car.

Jiang Chenming was in a good mood. His uninjured left hand tapped a rhythm onto his leg until he noticed that they weren’t going towards Yuanqiao Apartments.

“Teacher Mo, where are we going?” Jiang Chenming asked.

“The hospital.” Mo Lingqiu hadn’t forgotten that the basketball team coach had instructed Jiang Chenming to go to the hospital for an X-ray.

Jiang Chenming didn’t dare say that he was fine this time; he would go wherever Mo Lingqiu wanted.

There was a quite good city hospital near University A. Mo Lingqiu parked the car and got out along with Jiang Chenming. They walked into the hospital side by side, before Mo Lingqiu registered and signed them in.

Since the hospital was really crowded, they had to queue up in the third floor’s orthopedic department for half an hour before they could finally see the doctor.

Mo Lingqiu recounted what had happened to Jiang Chenming. The doctor looked at his bandage-wrapped palm, then looked at the wound on his arm, before saying, “Let’s go take an X-ray first.”

Mo Lingqiu grabbed the medical record book and then went with Jiang Chenming to find the place where they took X-rays.

The process was slow. The orthopedics department needed half an hour for the X-ray results to come in. They both sat in the chairs in the hospital corridor and looked at their own phones. Because Jiang Chenming’s right hand was injured, and he wasn’t comfortable playing with only his left hand, he directly moved closer towards Mo Lingqiu to watch a documentary with him.

Half an hour later, the X-ray receptionist started shouting Jiang Chenming’s name. Mo Lingqiu reflexively walked over to get the X-ray, but the staff at the counter asked, “Are you the person himself?”

“Ah?” Mo Lingqiu froze.

“You don’t look like the person on this medical insurance car. You can’t take someone else’s film.”

Mo Lingqiu was speechless. Jiang Chenming rushed over and held onto him to save the situation. “He’s my boyfriend.”

The staff member behind the window scrutinised them before handing over the film.

Then they brought it back to the consultation room. After the doctor carefully scanned the film, he said, “There’s nothing wrong with the bones, just from looking at the film. There’s only an external flesh wound on your arm. Just make sure to rest.”

“Okay. Thank you, doctor.”

“En. I’ll prescribe you some medicine. You can go to the pick-up counter later to get it.”

“Okay.”

The doctor roughly scribbled his condition into the medical record book, and then added the medicine he prescribed to minimise swelling and pain into the medical system. When the two of them finally obtained the medicine and left the hospital, it was almost five o’clock.
