I had hailed a cab to take me down to where McKernon was hosting their event, and with the help of Donna, I knew I would be turning some heads when I walked inside.

Harvey had told me to meet him inside when I got there, and I took a deep breath as I got out of the taxi. Donna and I had agreed on a sleek black evening gown that showed some skin, but was still professional. We had picked out some silver accessories to go with the dress, and I was wearing a pair of silver heels that had sandal-style wraps around my ankles. There was a slit in the dress that went up to just above my knee, so my shoes were visible with every step I took.

I held on tightly to the silver Prada clutch that had been paired with the entire outfit, and I made my way into McKernon's event for the night - or, what I thought was McKernon's event. It turns out this was only the start.

Within two minutes of entering the Gotham Car Club showroom in lower Manhattan as I meandered around looking at the different cars that were on display, I heard a familiar voice.

"Someone knows how to clean up."

I turned around to meet the smirk I was growing far too familiar with.

"You know, you aren't the only one who can look nice when they want to." I smiled back at Harvey, who slowly walked toward me. He held out his arm like a gentleman, and I took it, thankful for the gesture. It was never a bad thing to have support, especially in heels.

We approached a white Tesla, and a woman came over to Harvey with a pair of keys.

"The Tesla Roadster Sport, offered to only our most exclusive members."

Harvey took the keys and replied, "You know your vehicles... I promise to have her back before she turns into a Pontiac."

An older man approached us and addressed my boss.

"Hey, Harvey!"

The senior associate replied, surprised, "Laurence!"

Laurence, who was flanked by who I could only assume was his wife, asked, "How would you feel about taking something other than the Tesla tonight?"

Harvey quickly replied, "It goes against my policy."

Laurence raised an eyebrow, asking, "What policy?"

Harvey answered with a straight face, "My 'I want the Tesla' policy."

I smirked as Laurence scoffed. God, Harvey really was a smug asshole.

Harvey took a breath and said, "Tell you what - you know more about the car than I do? It's yours." He dangled the keys to the Tesla in the air.

I felt Harvey draw his arm away from me, and I stepped back as the two men circled the car. Laurence smiled lightly, simply saying, "Horsepower."

Harvey looked insulted as he replied, "Really? That's where we're starting off?"

Laurence was quick to answer, "It's so simple, just answer it."
