Chapter 16: The Tarot Cards

V received a message. It was from Dexter.

-𝘏𝘰𝘸'𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯', 𝘝? 𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘺 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦. 𝘞𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘫𝘰𝘣. 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶.

V was bored in her apartment so she decided to go to The Afterlife. She wasn't ready for the actual job but she wanted to hear what Dex had to say.

V grabbed her car keys off her bed and left the apartment. Then she realised that she forgot the Flathead. She entered her apartment again and took it. The she left and locked the door. The elevator was still broken so she had to use the stairs again. This time, she didn't get tired. She found her car, entered it and started the engine. Instead of music, there was news. It was about a new cyberphsyco on the streets of Night City. It was in Heywood so she didn't have to worry much. Samurai started playing shortly after.

As she was driving, she saw some strange graffiti. She parked her car and got out so she could take a picture. The graffiti looked like one of Misty's tarot cards. She wanted to share the picture to Misty, but she didn't have her number.

After thinking for a few minutes, she decided to meet Misty and show her the photo before going to meet with Dex.

As she was driving to Vik's clinic, she saw 2 crashed cars with blood on the windows. She knew something was going on. Then she heard a loud scream. A cyberphsyco.

V loaded her gun and got out of her car. She saw the cyberphsyco that was described on the news earlier. It wasn't in Heywood. It was in Watson. The news lied.

She heard screams coming from a thin street in the side of the road. Everyone was running away, screaming. V was the only one who wasn't. She was brave. She called Regina Jones to ask her if she wanted the cyberphsyco alive or dead.

"Hey V."

"Regina, there's a new cyberphsyco in Watson. The news this morning said it was in Heywood. Any idea how it got to Watson that fast?"

"The only possible option is if the cyberphsyco is part car. The fastest car in Night City to be exact. The news wouldn't lie. Watson is a more populated place than Heywood."

"So you think this cyberphsyco is half man, half car?"

"Yes. It's possible."

"Should I kill it? Or do you want it alive?"

"V, I think you should let the NCPD handle this. They're more experienced than you."

"Don't you remember all the corpses of NCPD officers that I found in the lair of the other cyberphsyco? Or do you think that they were just shit officers?"

"V, this is a new cyberphsyco. Cyberphsycos are more dangerous when they're new. Let the NCPD handle it for now. Once you gain more experience, you can try to u alive the cyberphsyco."

"Fine. I have a job to get to anyway."

As soon as she hung up, the NCPD arrived to take care of the cyberphsyco. She got into her car and drove off. Vik's clinic wasn't very far.

The first thing V saw when she entered Vik's clinic was the horrified look on Misty's face. The TV in the room was on the news channel.

"V! Have you heard about this new cyberphsyco?"

"I have. The NCPD are handling it."

"Let's hope that they kill it. Anyways, what brings you here?"

"I, have a weird question."

"What is it?"

"I saw some strange graffiti while driving to the Afterlife today. Decided to scan it. It looked a lot like one of your tarot cards. Is there many graffiti's like this around Night City?"

V showed Misty the picture of the graffiti. Misty examined it.

"Looks like you found 'The Sun'. And yes, there's many more graffiti's like that around Night City. I've seen a few myself. The thing is, Jackie was always driving and I didn't want to stop him in the middle of the road."

"What should I do?"

"I just want you to take pictures of every one you find. Once you're done, bring them to me."

"How do I know how many there are left?"

Misty opened a drawer and took something out.

"Take this chip. It will tell you how many tarot card graffiti's are left around Night City. Including some of The Badlands."

V took the chip and used it. It showed a bunch of blank spaces with question marks. Only one wasn't a blank space. It was 'The Sun' tarot card.

V was about to thank Misty for the information when a scream caught her attention. It came from the TV. It showed many corpses in one spot. It was the cyberphsyco.

"I gotta get going. I'll find more of these tarot cards and bring them to you."

"Bye, V."

I changed the front of the text messages. Idk if it was already like that but it probably wasn't. Hope you like it. Also, this chapter was a bit rushed so sorry if it's not that good.
