That's what the damn stick was showing me. For the past three weeks now, I have been experiencing a lot of tiredness, nausea and vomiting so I decided to go and pick up a pregnancy test on way home from work just in case. After I came home and I did the test following the instructions on the box, I waited for about five minutes and the results showed two lines I had to look back onto the instructions that showed two lines means pregnant.

Shalya: "T-this c-can't be"

I said shaking as I stared at the two lines on the stick. I can't have this baby right now I just can't it's just not the right time for me and him. When I say him, I mean my boyfriend Jalen Hurts who Plays quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. We have been dating now for about 8 months and yes, the relationship was good, but this was the last thing we needed now, with him always traveling for games and training I know we were not ready for a child at all. I decided to call my best friend Michelle and see what she says, as soon as she answered I broke out crying.

Michelle: "Hello, Shalya is that you crying? What's wrong?"

Shalya: (*Sobbing*) "M-Michelle I – I'm p-pregnant"

Michelle: "Wait what! Are you sure sweetie?"

Shalya: "Yes I just took the test and it showed positive on all three of the sticks"

Michelle: "Omg Shalya, please stop crying, just calm down for me okay?"

I controlled my breathing taking in slow deep breaths. When I felt my breathing was stable I spoke again

Michelle: "So what are you going to do?"

Shayla: "I have to get an abortion it's not the right time at all with Jalen career taking off and me it's just not time yet I know it's not"

Michelle: "I understand, but have you spoken to Jalen about this news as of yet or at least talk about it with him."

Shayla: "I can't tell him this news he just got a biggest pay in this contract, I don't want to put that news on him, listen would it be okay if I call you back tomorrow?"

Michelle: "Yea sure thing but listen please take Jalen into consideration before you make this decision I mean it does take two to create a child after all."

I wiped the tears the that were running down my face.

Shayla: "I will I promise love you"

Michelle: "I love you too bestie and take it easy, call me if you need anything"

After I hung up the phone on her I stood up to my feet off from the bathroom floor I walked over to the sink and splashed some cold water onto my face, after I was done I dried my face and placed the towel into the laundry basket. I went to unlock the bathroom door and when I did my heart sunk all the way down to my stomach.

Jalen: "So that's what we're doing now? We keeping secrets"

My whole body went numb as soon as I open the door, there was Jalen leaning onto the bathroom door just watching me with an angry expression.

Shayla: "Oh, hey-yyy b-baby uh... w-hen did y-you g-get in?"

I stuttered over my words not being able to speak at all.

Jalen: "Don't worry about when I got in, I'm just happy that I did
Shayla when were you going to tell me?"

I stayed quite not being able to speak at all.
