you were shaking as you stood inside the bau room, waiting for him to arrive. the waiting process was the part that you didn't like the most. the tension, suspense, the wait for somebody to walk through that door that you hoped would be somebody from the team. anybody from the team.

he eventually did as you turned around to see him standing there.

"you're okay," he said aloud. he was most likely processing his thoughts aloud, as you wanted to do but you were too afraid to mention what was going on. the fear was too much to be spoken aloud.

"i am," you replied as you realized now that you were in fact shaking. the idea of the fear consuming you was far out of your m ind with the adrenaline that was previously coursing through your body. your mind was so keen on getting back to him safely that it was unable to process what had just happened to you.

"can you explain what happened? do you need to rest?" he asked, coming over to you, his eyes trailing down to the wounds on your leg. "shit, you need a medic."

your eyes followed his previous trail down towards your legs as you took note of the amount of blood you were coated in. you nodded, looking back up at him with a heavy sigh as you replied. "that would probably be best," you muttered with a small smile as he got you seated into one of the chairs.

you watched him get out his phone and call morgan, letting him know the situation before asking him to get a medic to come with him back to where the two of you were currently. your eyes stayed focused on him, watching as he looked over your body for any other wounds that you had.

you felt okay to breathe again.

all felt right now.

once he was off of the phone, your eyes met his as he smiled.

"so, would you like to tell me all that you can remember about this guy? i think it would be best to recall the steps you went through throughout your day. that might be important," he said softly. he was trying to be careful with his volume, but it didn't matter how loudly he spoke. you felt okay no matter what happened because you were with him in a familiar setting.

"well, i went to work. i called you, i then talked to my boss about leaving early because i needed some time off. i needed to go home, so i asked for a day off and she gave me a week. then, i left and was at my car about to leave when some guy came up to me. he held a gun to my head, told me to go with him and nobody would get hurt, so i did. he threw me in a view, took me some place, locked me up with rope around a pole, then i escaped and he tried to find me with a chainsaw. i escaped back here after that though, now i'm here," you said, giving him a brief rundown of what had happened to you.

he nodded.

"do you recall anything about him? what he looked like? mannerisms?"

you closed your eyes, trying to select the memory from your brain.

"he had distinctly grey eyes," you muttered. "other than that, he was tall. he had brown hair, short, like a buzzcut but a little bit longer than that. he said we knew each other, said that he needed you to come here to get me and that you both would talk," you mumbled. "he had to have known me well enough to know that i was with you and that you're an agent, spence."

he shook his head, putting his hand gently on your leg as morgan came inside with a medic by his side. the medic instantly got to work, cleaning up the blood off of your legs, cleaning the cuts carefully, and trying to place bandages considerately.

"he could just know of me, or he could be assuming," he muttered.

you shook your head.

"no, this felt too calculated to be just a random stranger abduction. you of all people should understand that, spence. i mean, he knew that i was dating an agent. knew that it was you. knew that you would be willing to risk your life to come save me. he knows me. or us," you replied back as the medic stood up, handing you a small container of pills.

you took them, thanking them before watching them walk away with their medic bag. morgan came over to you, asking if you were alright and wondering what had happened. reid gave him a quick recall of events before morgan made eye contact with you once more.

"did you notice anything particular about where you were?" morgan asked as you shook your head before remembering something from the barn.

"no, wait, yes," you said, catching your words. "there was a barn, typical horror movie type, you know. red, peeling paint, rotten wood, dishevled. it did, actually, have a small flag outside of it that i've only ever seen once. it was a flag this one guy i used to date had. he owned it during high school, but i saw it in a photo with him before. it was this blue flag with two black circles on it. in them was the pictures of a black widow spider and a serpent. i never knew what it meant, but it stuck out to me."

morgan nodded, thanking you before getting garcia on the phone to ask if she could look it up for him. he was curious to know what it meant, as well as why it was a type of flag in the first place, and if it were in relation to anything regarding kidnappings.

you wanted to know to.

it could mean the end of whatever it was and understanding why you were picked to be taken.
