"Cass you need to relax."

"How do you want me to relax when you invited him to the wedding?"

"Look, it's not like I had a choice... you know he's Josh's childhood friend and I can't just uninvite him."

I walk to the vanity and pick up the veil, Jennifer starts walking toward me and hugs me.

"You know it's going to be okay, I know that what happened between you and Luke was awful, and you hate him a lot, but can you just try to put away your differences for just one day?"

She let go, I walked over to the white bench next to the vanity and took a seat.

"Jennifer, you know you can't ask me that...you know it's hard for me already."

She walks after Me and kneels while taking hold of my hand,

"Please Cass just for today" she pouts. I hate when she does this... How can I say no to my best friend... "Okay, okay but please get up, you know you're getting married today." She gets up and hugs me, "Thank you" she whispers. I just smile and nudge her over to the mirror.

"All done," I say. I take a few steps back and just admire her a bit. She looked so beautiful, "Josh is such a lucky guy. He better treat you well, or I'll go after him."

"Cass why do you always have to be so violent"

"Because you're my Best friend, why else? Now, let me take a good look at you."

She automatically starts to pose. She's always been this way, Silly and outgoing. I twirl my fingers a bit, so she can go ahead and give me a spin. The ball gown dress made her look just like a princess, and the white corset Accentuated her waist, making her look a lot slimmer than she was. The natural tones of her makeup made her green eyes pop, to think there was a curvy girl underneath the Crinoline and multiple layers of tulle. "What do you think?" She says "You look stunning," I say I heard a slight knock on the door, "Can I come in?" Said the voice. "Of course, Mr. Edwards," I responded. The door creaks open a bit, slick back salt and pepper hair, black glasses, and a black blazer peer through. Slowly he made his way through the door, I couldn't help but chuckle a bit. It's like he was scared to come in. He turns to look at Jennifer and you could see the tears coming through. "Oh Daddy, please don't cry, you're going to make me cry."

"Sweetheart, how can I not," he sobbed, "you look so beautiful, I just wish your mother was still around to see you here." The tears started rolling down his cheeks. And Jennifer was fanning her eyes to not let the tears roll down her cheeks. I take a tissue and start to dab the corners of her eyes. "Oh, I'm so sorry honey I didn't mean to make you cry, I just can't help myself. There are only a few more minutes left before we have to go down to the reception for the ceremony. I'll go ahead and wait outside." Mr. Edwards then opened the door and stepped out. "Are you okay?" I said. Jennifer just sighed and dabbed her eyes with the tissue some more. "Yes, I am," she said. Good, I thought. "Well, then no more tears," I said. She got up and just nodded, but I knew she wanted to cry some more. "Come on, it's supposed to be a happy day, let's not cry until after you get married." She then started laughing "

"Your right," she said, "let's go"

We walked to the front of the reception hall door, and everyone including Mr. Edwards stood there waiting for us. Mr. Edwards looked more nervous than he did earlier. "We are here," I said. Everyone turned around and smiled. "I'll be walking in now", I took hold of Jennifer's brother's arm and pulled him to go in. He laughed a bit. He was only one year younger than me but always acted like he was older than me. "Here goes nothing," I whispered. You'll be fine, he replied. Easy for him to say, I just smiled and we walked inside. I could feel my heart racing, almost coming out of my chest. I knew Luke was here, I just didn't know where. I tried so hard not to look around. James pulled me a bit and whispered "He's right there but don't look, just look straight." I started to calm down a bit. We reached the front and I could see Josh smiling from ear to ear, he looked so happy. I took my spot next to where Jennifer would stand, one by one all the bridesmaids came in, and it was Jennifer's turn. I couldn't help but smile, she looked so beautiful. She had been waiting so long for this moment, it makes me so happy.
