The roar of the engine cut through the silence of the open highway, a mechanical beast tearing through the night. The car sped along the road, slicing through the wind with reckless abandon, its tires gripping the asphalt like a predator in pursuit of its prey. Inside, the contrast between its two passengers couldn't have been starker.

Sanjay clung to the seat like a man dangling off a cliff, his fingers wrapped so tightly around the door handle that his knuckles turned ghostly white. His breath came in short, panicked gasps, his heart thundering in his chest like a desperate war drum. Every bump in the road sent a fresh wave of terror crashing over him.

And then there was Hariday—Harry, as his friends called him—the devil-may-care driver who handled the wheel like a maestro commanding an orchestra of chaos. A smirk played on his lips, eyes glinting with the sheer thrill of speed, as if the concept of danger was nothing more than an amusing footnote in his life.

Sanjay's voice cracked as he half-yelled, half-begged. "Harry, seriously, you're insane! I've heard of living life in the fast lane, but this? This is more like charging straight toward an early meeting with Yamraj!"

Harry's laughter rang out, smooth and unbothered. "Come on, Sanju! This is what life is all about—the rush, the adrenaline! You need to loosen up, man. Life's too short for speed limits and caution signs."

Sanjay let out a strangled noise, gripping his seatbelt as if his very soul depended on it. "Yeah? Well, what if our lives become even shorter because of this speed? I mean, I've always imagined meeting Yamraj, but at a respectable age, surrounded by grandkids, not because my best friend thought he was Vin Diesel in a Bollywood remake of Fast & Furious!"

Harry chuckled, throwing a playful glance at his panicked friend. "If we do meet him, I hope he's a cool guy. Maybe he'll give us a ride on his buffalo."

Sanjay's eyes widened in sheer disbelief. "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?! This is NOT the time to joke, Harry! I can literally see my entire life flashing before my eyes, and guess what? Most of it is just me screaming at you to slow down!"

Harry hummed in mock consideration. "Hmm... then let's make a deal."

Sanjay, voice shaking, gulped. "A deal? Oh, great! That's exactly what I need right now—negotiations with a man hell-bent on getting us both killed!"

Harry grinned. "If we survive this ride—"

Sanjay's voice cracked. "IF?! That's a BIG IF, Harry!"

Ignoring the panic-stricken man beside him, Harry continued, "—then we'll have the craziest story to tell at the next family gathering."

Sanjay gawked at him. "Or, OR, hear me out—how about we don't die and just live normal, non-traumatizing lives? I'd rather be the guy who made it home alive than the guy whose legacy is dying because of his idiot best friend's need for speed!"
