"SO WHAT DO you do now?" I asked dom at the table.

"Well, I still drift and I'm a mechanic here and there." He shrugged.

"Really?" I asked as I stopped stuffing my face with food.

"After dad took you away I never stopped, I thought if I became really good he would let you come back with me." He admitted sipping his water.

I cleared my throat for a moment.

"You know I never stopped either but when dad got bad one night he smashed the car with a bat." I sighed.

"You should've called me princess you know I would've been there in seconds." He reassured me.

"I know but I never wanted to bother you." I sighed.

"You never would." He faintly smiled.

I returned the same look.

"Any boyfriends I need to know about?" He asked.

"More of ex- Boyfriend, He's trying to win me back." I groaned.

"We'll some people do deserve second chances." He shrugged.

"Yeah I don't know about this one dom. What about you though? Any girlfriends? What about that one girl you dated." I started.

"Letty?" He asked.

"Yes! Letty." I snapped my fingers.

"We broke up a while ago, it's complicated." He shrugged.

"Toxic paradise I see." I smiled.

"We both decided to just leave it for now." He reassured.

"We'll see how long it stays like that." I smiled.

"Listen I have to go by the shop later, You want to go surprise Tej?" He asked setting his plate in the sink.

"Uhh.. Duh!" I smiled getting up.

I saw his smile drop slightly and I furrowed my brow in confusion.

"Ryder your arm.." His eyes trailed to the gash on my arm.

"It's fine really." I insisted trying to walk past him.

"Ryder no it's not, let me at least clean it up." He grabbed my other arm.
