It's kind of mind-boggling, really. One moment I'm stepping onto campus for the first time, and before I know it, I'm in line, wearing a graduation robe and ready to snag my degree. The faces ahead of me are mostly strangers – a stark reminder of how fleeting these years have been.
As I look around, some seem to have their post-college game plans locked down, while others have a vague idea of what's next. Me? I'm still trying to figure out my evening plans, let alone the years ahead.
Walking across the stage to accept my diploma, it's a mix of emotions. Holding that piece of paper feels like closing one book and peeking into the next. Stepping away from the stage, diploma clutched in my hand, I can't help but tell myself, "Well, the dog days are officially over."
