The Whistling Shadows

When the clock strikes twelve the shadows come out to pry and play.

They bring along their melodious whistling that keeps one dazed.

[ What are these creatures?you may ask ]
[ ..They...are...KIDS. ]

The Whistling Shadows are just KIDS that wanted to play,be encouraged, feel loved and appreciated.

But inorder to please their parents needs and impossible high expectations,they discarded what they adored.

~The Whistling symbolizes their unspoken retaliations to their parents demands.

~The Shadow(s) themselves symbolizes what they have become inside,a void shadow of failure and disappointment.

They lurk around for their next victim of their kind.

Little Davi was up tonight in his room,trying to solve a math equation that wasn't meant for an eight year old like him with tears in his eyes.

Davi couldn't help but cry as his parents had demanded that he must get the correct answer to the question by morning or else he would receive a 'discipline act'.That was what his parents called a beating.....

[ So why wouldn't he stay up till 11:59? ]
[ But Davi can't solve that.! ]

[ His parents believed he could...so who are you to say otherwise? ]

Now Davi heard something,it sounded like footsteps,he stiffened and listened closely to what was approaching as it clicked and clacked.

[ Lucky for him,it was just his clock going tick tock,tick tock. ]
[ Oh!thank goodness. ]

He focused his attention back to his sum when he heard it again.It clicked and clacked with a beat to it.

[ Oh wait!,it was his heart beating pretty fast. ]

[ He was scared..]
[ Scared of what?. ]
[ The presence surrounding him. ]

Then he heard it...

[ What?. ]

[ The melodious whistling... ]
