Bruces game

Ziggys pov:

"Go brucey!!" I called out I saw him slightly smile when I said that then he looked back and concentrated

"Go finney!" I hear the girl next to me call out that must have been the boy Bruce was against

The boy threw the ball and Bruce missed I heard the girl next to me still cheering the boy again threw the ball but Bruce missed again

You could see his embarrassment on his face when he missed and I felt bad but hopefully he gets this one

The boy threw and Bruce missed again but it went over the fence so Bruce's team won! "GOOD JOB BRUCE!" I yelled

I saw he was satisfied with himself I saw the girl next to me sigh and mumble "you'll get em next time Finn"

I walked over to her "hey I'm Ziggy what's your name?" I asked her "I'm Gwen nice to meet you Ziggy" she said

"Is that your brother out there?" I asked "yeah, that yours?" She also asked "yeah, we'll I gtg but maybe I'll see you tomorrow?" I asked "yeah! Bye" she said waving to me

"Btw" I started "I'm sure Finn will get 'em next time" I smiled at her while walking to Bruce and hugging him

"You did so good" I said "yeah well he almost had me" ha scoffed "did he though?" I asked sarcastically we both laughed

"I'll meet you in 10 minutes ok?" Bruce told me "yeah ok c ya" I said walking to our bikes about 8 minutes later Bruce was out of his sweaty baseball clothes

We got on our bike as we made our way to the gas station to get some snacks "what's for dinner?" I asked him "ooh" he had to think for a sec "no idea" he laughed as I laughed after

When we got there we got our snacks and got out we saw a rocket fly up in the sky as we were about 1 block away from our house

But we also a car no one I know from baseball gets picked up turns out it was a black van "Bruce " I whispered "yeah" he mumbled back " how long till we're home?" I asked hoping we were there

"We're here!" He exclaimed we were at a house on the other side of the block "but Bruce-" I got cut off "we can't show him our actual house" he whispered

"Yeah can't wait to see Bailey!" I exclaimed we saw the van drive away we quickly grabbed our bikes and peddled as past as we could

When we were finally home we had forgotten about the incident making us happy

"mum!" I said excitedly "what is it?" She asked "guess who won!" Bruce continued "oh honey I'm so proud of you!" She said in joy

as they were doing that I hang up my bag and started playing with the dogs "Bailey! Bailey!" I called she jumped up with her front paws on me

"Have you thought about what's for dinner yet Bruce?" I asked "I'm thinking on it" he said "well could you think on it a little faster!" I said "I'm hungry" I whined at him

"Ziggys right hun it's almost dinner time better decide quick" our mum agreed I walked up to my room my room was right above the kitchen so I could hear everything

I heard muffled talking "oh can you make that really good lasagna you made for mamas birthday?" Bruce asked "ofc I can hun"

Ugh I hate lasagna but I only eat it because it's Bruce's special day I got out a letter I had "dear Ziggy, thank you for standing up for me love griffin"I read in my head as I felt a tear drip

I heard footsteps so I quickly wiped my tears and shoved the note in my draws "hey zig wer- you ok?" Bruce asked "yeah why wouldn't I be?" I asked

"Ok well mums making las-" Bruce spoke before I cut him off "lasagna I know tell mum I'll be down I'm a minute" I told him "ok" he said smiling "thanks brucey!" I called out

Before I left my room to help mum with dinner I got the note back out and a picture of me, billy and griffin held them yo my chest and said "I miss you guys" I whispered

Time skip/night time
"Night brucey love you and good job on your win today" i said "thanks Ziggy love you too" he replied "night mum!" Me and Bruce yelled to the other room

All I could think about that night was griffin and billy I couldn't sleep but eventually I got there
