Randy Cunningham's POV

It was 7:00 AM, and he still had to get ready for his day, getting dressed and packing his backpack. He made sure to take his book, the 'Ninja-Nomicon' with him, just in case it might be relevant for anything that might come up during the day.

After he finished getting ready, he left his bedroom and headed towards the kitchen where his parents were already sitting at the table, drinking their morning coffee and reading the newspaper. Randy joined them, taking a seat across from his mother, who smiled at him warmly.

"Good morning, sweetie," she said, placing a kiss on his cheek.

"How did you sleep last night?"

Randy nodded, taking a sip of his juice. "I'm okay, I guess. And you?"

She smiled at him. "Same as usual."

Randy's dad cleared his throat, breaking the silence. "Are you going to be late for school again today?"

Randy nodded sheepishly and chuckled. "Might be."

His dad sighed. "Make sure you're on time now, okay?

I don't want to hear any more excuses about being late," his father said, before pushing his chair away from the table and standing up.

Randy nodded, his heart pounding with anticipation. He couldn't wait to see this newfound ability of his again in action. He grabbed his book and mask for safety and headed towards the bus stop.

There, he saw a school bus approaching with lights flashing. He felt relieved, thinking that was the bus he was looking for. He approached the bus, and waited for it to stop.

Suddenly the bus stopped, and the door opened. Randy got onto the bus, feeling excited. He then saw the bus driver looking at him weirdly. He realized it was the bus he was looking for, this was a normal school bus with students on it.

He walked inside and sat near the front. He noticed a student at the back of the bus, he looked familiar, but he couldn't remember where he had seen him before.

As the bus driver made an announcement about the next stop, Randy couldn't help but overhear the student's conversation with the girl sitting beside him.

"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention," the student said, looking embarrassed.

"It's okay, we all have our busy days," the girl replied, smiling sympathetically.

Randy couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy. He wished he had someone to talk to like that, someone who would listen to him and understand.

Randy had always felt like an outsider, like he didn't fit in anywhere. He had always been a lonely boy, with few friends and even fewer people who cared about him.

As the bus jostled along the bumpy road, Randy couldn't stop thinking about how lucky that student was. To have someone who listened to him, understood him, and cared about him. It was a dream that Randy had never dared to hope for.

The bus pulled up to the next stop, and Randy's best friend, Howard Weinerman got on.

Randy smiled at him and gave him a wave. Howard was always there for him, no matter what. He was loud, obnoxious, and full of energy, but he was also one of the few people who truly cared about Randy. As Howard took a seat beside him, Randy felt grateful for having him as a friend.

They hadn't known each other for long, but Howard had quickly become one of the few people who genuinely cared about him. Randy glanced over at his friend, taking in the sight of his curly hair sticking out in all directions, his tiny hands gripping tightly onto the straps of his backpack. He knew that Howard had been going through a tough time lately, what with his parents fighting all the time and his little sister being sick. But even though he was struggling himself, Howard always made sure to check in on Randy and make sure he was okay.
