The Awkward Meet

As Sanjay got ready to leave for work he got a mail on his laptop saying that if he did not share his first draft of the book before his deadline that week he would have to face serious consequences from the publisher. But even with this threat from his boss he kept an unfazed face so as to not draw suspicion towards him from Aditya who was already suspecting him of something.
Sanjay rarely got writers block but lately he was unable to type out even a paragraph without zoning out. It was just that none of the new cases interested him. But luck had come his way when by some miracle he was put on the case of the serial killer who had comitted 4 crimes already. He was starting today and really did not want to be late, so he quickly packed his laptop, said farewell to Aditya and ran to his cab which already waiting for him downstairs.

"Yooo! What's up G-Dawg!" Sanjay yelled as he entered the police headquarters momentarily forgetting where he stood.
" Don't yell! Anyway hi and nothing's up until we find something on this killer. So please just try to stay out of my bosses path and focus on helping us solve this case or writing your book. Okay." Gong Min young whispered to him.Sanjay had known Min young since he had come to South Korea. Infact the first book he had written based on the crimes of Seoul was on a case he had worked with Min young. Min young was a 29 year old detective who had recently started working with the intensive crime unit of Seoul.He was of average height had a dark black hair and physical build that was trained to catch and arrest criminals.
"Dude Mr Park is cool with me, so chill. And also if he wanted me to stay out of his way why the hell would he approve me to help on this case." Sanjay said joyously as they entered their work room.
" Oh MY GOD!" Min young said slapping his hand on his forehead. "Didn't you hear? Mr Park became head and now we have a new boss. Mr Kim Sung yeon is our new commanding officer or captain. He is rude and definitely does not like you very much so beware."
"Dude point one, his name sounds weird and point two I think I will just focus on my work. I mean how scary can he possibly be." Sanjay said as he brushed his fear off.
"People say that I can be very scary" someone whispered behind him.
" Ahhhhhh," Sanjay shouted and was startled  to see someone standing right behind him. As he noticed this person closely he saw that he was a bit taller than him exactly where his mouth was in level with Sanjay's ear. He was fair and more than average handsome.He had a bit of a triangular face which was topped of with a bit of grown out rough yet attractive dark brown hair. Sanjay was so lost in observing the stranger that he forgotten where and in what situation he stood in that moment.

"Hi, I am Kim Sung yeon. And you must be Sanjay Vallaiyar." Kim Sung yeon said in his deep, intimidating voice.
"You are right." Sanjay blurted out but later quickly corrected himself and said, "Hello, nice to meet you."
"Same here. I don't want you to assume that your help is needed here. Just write your book and stay out of our way. Especially don't try to impress anyone, we are dealing with sensitive matters here." Sung yeon said sternly.
"Yo that's really mean and I will do my job, that is to consult and take inspiration so don't worry about me. Just do your job." Sanjay said sharply felling a bit offended.
"Suit yourself. Detective Gong let's get going and ask your friend here if he would like to join us or would he just like to zone out as usual," Detective Kim said as he went out the doors.
"Yes sir," Min young yelled as he grabbed his keys and signaled Sanjay to join them.

If fate was going his way Sanjay would get his first draft but maybe fate had something else and something more planned for him and time could only reveal the answers until then our little writer would be in a lot more than writers block.
