School or Job?

This chapter is purposely short.

A couple weeks later, the existence of the 5 otherworlders in the world of Earth has been settled. All thanks to Anessa's pro level hacking skills.

Their names on their id cards are as follows:

Leopold Arcine
Marianne Appleton
Wilder Goldstein
Keenan Hilder
Matthias Scott

Now is the question of what to have these otherworlders do with themselves instead of being total freeloaders.

"Since you guys are teenagers...I think it's best to have you all applied to school," said Anessa one day.

"School?! But we all graduated the Academy!" Matthias exclaimed.

"How old are you guys?" She asked the 5 teens.

"16," said Matthias.
"17," said Wilder.
"17," said Prince Leopold.
"16," said Keenan.
"16," said Marianne.

"Hmmm...that means Marianne, Matthias, and Keenan would have to take 2 yrs of high school, and the rest of you guys just one year. But is the education of the Royal Academy in your home world enough to qualify you guys to try high school?" Anessa said more to herself.

"What do you mean? Are you saying the academies in this world are more advanced than our world?" Prince Leopold asked. The thought of this irks him.

"Well if you guys don't want to try school, than you have to get jobs," Anessa said matter of factly.

"A...job?" Wilder questioned with scrunched eyebrows.

"Huh?" Keenan and Matthias said at the same time.

"What?" Prince Leopold said in bewilderment.

Only Marianne doesn't seem confused. Commoners have to take jobs after all to go by. She was 12 when she worked part time as an assistant baker.

Anessa just look at the guys with a you-can't-be-that-dumb-look.

"What is wrong? You guys know what a job is right?"

"Of course we know," said Prince Leopold with a scoff, " It is just that the thought of us having a job is ridiculous since nobles and a royal such as myself have our futures set in stone."

"Yeah!" The other 3 males immediately agreed.

Anessa just looks as if she is so done and wants a hole to suddenly appear and swallow her up.

"Yes but you are not at the Arcine empire in your home world. This is Earth. In this world, you have to get a job."

Note: The minimum age requirement to get a job is different over the world. I didn't specify what country the characters are at but in my story they are old enough to get a job.
