Mvelo
(It's finally Zimi's delivery day today, everything is ready, the baby and mommy bags are packed, the hospital private room is ready we're just waiting for her water to break and we can meet the new members. We're already on our way to the hospital, she looks at me surprised.)
Mvelo:Yindaba??
Zimi:I'm feeling wet, I think my water just broke(hectic)
Mvelo:You sure, are you feeling any pain??
Zimi:Nothing for now
Mvelo:Alright hold on, sesyafika before your contractions start. (I hold her hand and kiss it)(We arrive at Redlands Maternity Private Clinic, we head to her designated chamber that consists of a hospital bed, another double bed for the guests, an ensuite and a closet for her stuff, things money will get you, we made sure that our babies live the softest life, we've been working our butts off these past months. I'm in the bathroom when I hear her screaming, my heart doesn't take her screams well, I finish up and rush to the room, I go and stand by her side while holding her hand. The doctor arrives to check how dilated she is.)
Dr:You're already 8cm dilated, we'll probably wait an extra 10 mins and you'll be good to go, I see the boys are ready to pop.
Mvelo:Thank you Dr(I brush Zimis head, she's on the verge of crying but she's very strong)How are you feeling babe?? (she gives me the side eye)
Zimi:How do you think I feel??? (eish) she squeezes my hand so hard and looks at me with tears on her eyes
Mvelo:Hold on baby yezwa
Zimi:Mvelo kubhlungu can you call the Dr please I want them out now ahhhh(The Dr walks in checks her and smiles, I think we're ready. The team walks in and setup all they'll need. Zimi is holding onto my hand for her dear life and I'm not about to leave her side,we're in this together.)
Dr:Push when I say so okay?? (She nods) you're fully dilated I don't think we should have a problem, let's go on the count of 3 you push 1 2 3 push
Zimi:Ahhhhhh
Dr:Come on you're doing well and push(She pushes) Push I can see the head, push
Zimi:Ahhhhhh yoooh I can't(the nurse hit her thighs Ehhh, she continues and does a big push and we hear crys oh my goodness, the Dr cuts the umbilical cord, he looks so tiny yet so big, I myself am on the verge of crying. The doctor passes him to the nurses who start cleaning him up and continue Zimi pushes again and the doctor says the head is out, but something catches my attention the second baby did not cry. Zimi also notices and looks up to me. )
Mvelo:Why is the second baby not crying
Dr:Can we have the ventilating machine, fast, they put him on the small baby bed and put these pipes on him already, Zimi is a mess I have to be strong for her. The nurses leave to clean the baby while the other one went to the NICU since he's on pipes.Zimi is all cleaned up and fresh and well rested wearing nice fluffy pajamas I bought her, we're waiting for the doctor to bring the babies. I went to check on the one who's not breathing properly earlier on while Zimi was asleep, and the doctors have hope.)
Zimi:Baby(Mhh that's the first time she calls me baby)
Mvelo:Sthandwa sami(she faintly smiles)
Zimi:How are my babies??
Mvelo:The babies are fine, the other one has a little problem with breathing, apparently he was squashed and that affected his breathing but uDr uthi he should be fine by the end of the week.
Zimi:Ohh kuhle lokho I thought... (she has tears all up in her eyes, I hold her hand and kiss it)
Mvelo:Khululeka mama wabafana bami, the babies are going to be fine, don't stress(she looks at me)
Zimi:You're so calm akfani nawe
Mvelo:I got it from you and I had to remain sane for my family(mhh my little family, the doctor walks in pushing the baby cart and Zimi's eyes glisten, she moves towards the bed and takes the baby and hand it to her.)
Zimi:Ohhh my God, is he mine?? Hi baby ohh you look so beautiful my boy ahh, I could eat you up, hiiii baby mfana ka Mama, you look like daddy don't you(I'm glad she sees it, she literally rebirthed me copy and paste, I sit on the bed next to her, the bed is quite big so..)

Zimi:Right I cannot believe ukuthi umuntu angafana kanje nawe Haibo he's so cute.
Mvelo:Baby we names for abafana bethu. I told the doctor I wanted to wait for you to wake up and we'd name them together.
Zimi:Wena sthandwa sami uwu Sphiwokuhle and your brother is Sphiwesihle(Wow wayshaya eskhonkosini)
Mvelo:Sphiwokuhle Okwethu Zulu and Sphiwesihle Esethu Zulu(she widely smiles)

Zimi:Amabutho akwaZulu nje lawa, Mageba I want to see Sphiwe
Mvelo:Sure let's ask the doctor if we can go with Kuhle there.(We call the doctor in and she comes)
Mvelo:Dr can we take the baby to the NICU
Doctor:Yes you can since he's in his own ward, there's no diseases he'll catch, let me get the trolley for you guys
Mvelo:Alright thank you Dr(She strolls the trolley in and I gently place my boy inside, he's awake but not crying, he's such an angel and he definitely feels he's around his parents. We go inside the nicu and my boy has a pipe in his mouth and ears Zimi just gets so emotional.)
Zimi:Mvelo buka nje umtanami nama payipi amangaka inside him, waze wamncane for this,( I brush her back)
Mvelo:He's going to be fine sthandwa sami, unfortunately we can't see him kahle since he's asleep due to the treatment, but I can definitely say he looks like you, he does have my features but he looks like you(she smiles)
Zimi:Bahle kodwa abafana bami ngeke
Mvelo:Thank you mama for this beautiful gift, angazi ngingakbonga ngani MaGubhela wami, waze wangenza umuntu ebantwini. (I peck her, and go in for another kiss and I deepen it, she pushes me back)
Zimi:The kids
Mvelo:Ayy laba they'll understand(She laughs)
Zimi:Haibo ukwenza amanyala phambi kwengane zami(I like the sound of that.)
Mvelo:Uyabona kodwa ukuthi uyi ghost, izolo ubungenangane, gwiqiqi usu mother of 2.
Zimi:Uyangazi inzalabantu(We laugh together waking the baby up and the bell rings, the doctor comes in running.)
Doctor:I'm guessing the boy felt his parents presence and decided to wake or you two were making noise(Zimi shrugs) Please excuse us, we'll have to run some tests to check if the ventilators helped together with the medication, if he's fit enough to be out without the help of ventilation we'll bring him to you Ms Mkhize so you can feed him and bond with him. (Zimi nods not letting her eyes off him, he definitely is her twin, but also like my me, I'm starting to think me and Zimi look alike cause how can a child be both of us, crazy..)
