Harry tries not to be anywhere near Manhattan for New Year's Eve and apparently so does the rest of the group. So, Sebastian and a few others, including Harry and Chace, went in together to rent a house in the Hamptons. I had spent the holidays back home and had gotten back in time to unpack, then re-pack for the mini vacay we were having to celebrate the New Year.  It was kind of low key with our regular group and a few that were in from LA.

I was one of the last ones to arrive.  Harry waited for me and I rode with him.  When we got to the door, before I reached for the handle, it swung open.  Chace stepped out and scooped me up in a hug.  The next thing I knew he threw me over his shoulder and carried me straight out back to the patio where everyone was.  The area backed up to a clearing where the fire works were supposed to be visible.

Sitting me down, I had just begun to feel steady after being upside down, before I felt strong arms from behind hugging me.  Sebastian rested his chin on my shoulder, speaking quietly into my ear.  "Even though we've talked everyday, I missed this feeling."

Twirling around, I reached around his neck and hugged him before he spoke again.  "So, I figured it was okay to assume you could stay with me in the room I already called dibs on.  I mean how many times have we fallen asleep on the sofa together, ya know?"

"Sounds fine to me."

Turning, Sebastian grabbed my bag and led the way to what would be my room for the next few days.  Once we were in there, he snatched something from the dresser before walking over to shut the door.  "I know we said we weren't getting each other anything, but I saw this and thought it was perfect.  Plus, it's not just for you."

Reaching into a bag, Sebastian pulled out a tiny box.  He opened it and looked up with the cheesiest grin.  "I always wished I had one of these back when they were popular, so when I saw it I immediately thought, why not?"

Looking up from the necklace to his face, I couldn't help but mimic his smile.  "It's a best friend charm."

"Yup, we each get half.  Is it too childish?"

"I think it's perfect."

"Just a little something to remember each other by when we're apart."

We both were quiet for a minute while we put our necklaces on, tucking them into our shirts before Sebastian spoke up again.  "Speaking of apart." He stepped closer to the point we were touching before he spoke softer.  "Can I kiss you again one more time this year?"

I nodded but wrapped my hands around his neck, pulling his face to mine, opening my mouth for him as soon as our lips touched.  Out of nowhere, he picked me up, turned and braced me up against the wall.  This put me at his level, maybe a touch higher.  His tongue slid into my mouth, navigating around mine as they both played a dancing game.  He smiled as he pulled back to speak.  "As much as I hate to stop this, we probably should get outside before someone comes looking for us."
