"Symoné, your flight to Los Angeles leaves at ten-fifteen in the morning. You should land there around ten in the morning since they are about three hours behind." Angela Scott told the young brown-haired woman through the Reeves' house telephone line. "I've already booked you a place to stay. It's called Chateau Marmont." Symoné, grinning widely, said, "Okay, I'll be sure to be there."

As Symoné was on the phone with her acting agent, Jean made her famous breakfast in the kitchen: classic homemade vanilla Belgian waffles, fluffy cheese eggs, and turkey sausage with a glass of orange juice. The aroma of the breakfast was wandering in the area of the house, bringing a smile to Symoné's face. "Lawrence will have your ticket in the next few hours or so, I hope you don't mind, but I gave him your address to deliver them to." Angela Scott said the last remark before she raised one previous question to the dame, "I'll be a call away. I'll also be in Los Angeles later tomorrow after you land, so don't worry! Do you have any concerns for me?"

Symoné started thinking of anything she'd like to ask Angela Scott, but nothing came to mind until one important question appeared. "How long would I be staying there?" Symoné asked as she looked over to her mother, making the breakfast that she's always loved as a child. "You'll be in Los Angeles for about six weeks at least because filming doesn't start until October eleventh, and it'll last for at least four days until John tells me otherwise," Angela informed the brown-skinned woman, who was soaking in all the information that she needed to hear before letting Angela Scott leave. "Okay, thank you so much, Angela. Take care!"

And then, the call ended with Angela saying, "You too, Symoné."

Looking over at her mother, who couldn't contain the urgent excitement from eavesdropping on Symoné's conversation with Angela Scott, she excitedly smiled at her daughter as she approached the dinner table to set it up for a family of three. Jean placed the necessary utensils for the family to eat with, along with three plates that sat neatly on the table. "Leaving tomorrow?" Her mother asked as she passed Symoné her gourmet breakfast and joined the young woman at the table. "Sam, come in here and eat!"

Symoné chuckled and nodded at Jean's question, "I'm going to pack early, probably after breakfast." She responded, now thinking about her job at Cafe Armita's. Symoné knew she would need her own money when she reached an agent. Her parents taught her that she needed independence, which meant not depending on anyone for anything–even money. "I have a good amount of savings, so I'll be okay for six weeks." She assured her mother, who was stuffing her mouth with the homemade vanilla Belgian waffles. Once she finished chewing and wiped her mouth with her napkin, she said, "Okay, baby. I know you're your own woman now."

Samuel arrived toward the pair, smelling the prominent aroma in the room. He kissed his wife and daughter on the forehead before digging into what Jean had prepared for the trio. "So? Symoné, where's your next move?" The hungry man said as he took a bite of the fluffy cheese eggs, swallowing the protein and taking a few sips of his orange juice. "California." The dame told her father, "I'll be packing after breakfast. My flight leaves at ten-fifteen in the morning."
