🌙BEST BLURB RESULTS🌙

These results came very quickly because the judges, me and That_One_Thespian were very fast!

Please don't get offended if your book scored lower. We had to judge honestly and this is just criticism to benefit your stories!

For the scores there are five criteria's that were judged out of 20 points. These were hook, length, Ending/how blurb was wrapped up, grammar/spelling, and well-written.

Anyways, on to the moment you've been waiting for, the scores!

1. The marks of the engkanto by @HeideHunt
Hook: 10/20 - The hook is a little too wordy and it takes away the interesting aspect.
Length: 13/20 - It's a pretty good length but you used up lots of space with random information.
- 10/20 - It cut off a little abruptly and the information given is kind of all over the place.
Grammar/spelling: 19/20 - I didn't really find any grammar errors except one run on sentence.
Well-written: 15/20 - There was quite a lot of strong vocab, although it faded towards the end of the blurb.
Total - 67/100

2. Forever for you by @dwarkaratna
Hook: 10/20 - This is a decent hook but could be stronger.
Length: 10/20 - I feel like the fifth paragraph is a little unnecessary. It is a little repetitive after the one before it.
Ends nicely/clear plot seen: 12/20 - It seems that the second to last sentence is unnecessary and it could be wrapped up better without it.
Grammar/spelling: 12/20 - The blurb is missing lots of commas, along with some other grammar mistakes. One sentence is missing an 'a'. For example, "in few days."
Well-written: 10/20 - The use of strong vocab is very minimal in this blurb.
Total: 54/100

3. Conform or Suffer by @JankyFluffy
Hook - 5/20 The hook is interesting but then the blurb isn't really continued from there.
Length - 5/20 The blurb is way too short. It is only really one sentence since the rest is just trigger warnings and stuff.
Wrapped up good with clear plot - 0/20 There isn't any clear plot and it is not really wrapped up at all.
Grammar/spelling - 15/20 - There aren't any major mistakes just what seems like a typo in the beginning.
Well-written - 5/20 - There's not much to judge off of since the blurb is so short. It's not badly written there could just be more use of strong vocab and stuff and should be much longer.

4. Silverton's Journey by @Sumaia_Islam
Hook - 16/20 - It is a good hook, I like how there was dialogue. The only thing is it was a little bit long for a hook.
Length - 20/20 - It's a perfect length, not too long or short, and summarizes all necessary plot points in enough sentences.
Wrapped up with clear plot - 15/20 - The last few sentences of the last full paragraph seem a bit vague but the plot is still defined.
Grammar/spelling - 20/20 - There are no grammar or spelling mistakes seen.
Well-written - 15/20 - It's good but there is still room for improvement. For example, there could definitely be more use of strong vocabulary words.
Total: 86/100

5. My secretary by @Seamlesslove
Hook - 15/20 - It's not bad but it definitely could be better and more intriguing to pull readers in.
Length - 5/20 - It's definitely a little too short and could definitely have more information given.
Wrapped up with clear plot - 5/20 - It wraps up slightly abruptly with no clear plot able to be depicted.
Grammar/spelling - 10/20 - There are a few grammar mistakes and one spelling mistake.
Well-written - 10/20 - It is not so terribly written, it's just lacking some descriptive vocabulary.
Total: 45/100

6. Away from home by @Bree_42
Hook: 20/20 - Nice hook, I think it draws the reader in decently.
Length: 10/20 - The first two paragraphs seem unnecessary, and don't seem to have much correlation with the rest of the blurb.
Wrapped up with clear plot: 5/20 - Doesn't define a clear plot, could be wrapped up better.
Grammar/spelling: 10/20 - no spelling mistakes, but frequent grammar mistakes. No spaces after periods and lacks commas.
Well-written: 15/20 - Could be much stronger and lacks in certain elements, but not bad overall.
Total: 55/100
