I stepped into the kitchen, my gaze locking onto her immediately. She was so absorbed in cooking that she didn't even notice me. A slow, mischievous smirk tugged at my lips. Too tempting.
"Acchi lag rahi ho mere kapdon mein, wifeyyy," I teased, making sure she heard every word.
She froze. Turned around. Frowned. "Kya bak rahe ho, Shivank?" she asked, clearly thrown off by my boldness.
I didn't answer. Instead, I took slow, deliberate steps toward her. The moment she realized I wasn't stopping, her eyes widened. Before she could move, I caged her in, pressing her gently against the counter.
She tensed. The air between us thickened—charged, electric. I could feel her shallow breaths, see the rise and fall of her chest.
I leaned in, inhaling deeply. She smelled like flowers. Which one? I couldn't place it, I was too lost in her.
Her voice came out a little shaky. "Kya kar rahe ho, Shivank?"
I brushed my lips near her ear, whispering, "Tumhe nahi pata, Vaani Shivank Kashyup, main kya kar raha hoon?"
She went still. Completely still. Her eyes widened, her breath hitched—like realization had just crashed over her.
"Hmm, wifeyy?" I added, just to see her blush. And she did. A deep, beautiful red spread across her cheeks, making her look so damn cute that I couldn't hold back my chuckle.
I pulled back slightly, just enough to look at my phone. My eyes skimmed over the message she had sent to my boss, and my smirk deepened. I read it aloud, enjoying every word. "Hello, good morning, sir. Myself Vaani Shivank Kashyup, wife of Shivank Kashyup. Today, he will not be able to work because he is sick. I hope you understand."
