Servants in the palace where busy preparing for a grand feast that was arranged on the special occasion . The princes of hastinapur where back from completing their education under guru drona and they had even showcased the skills they had garnered in a breathtaking event that happened during the day . The feast was part of the celebration of their return and their grandsire bhisma had taken great care in arranging everything along with vidura .
At karna's home
Karna was getting ready to attend the feast at hastinapur palace as duryodhana had invited him . It was not an ordinary day for him . He was lost in the thoughts about everything that transpired in the event that he merely went on his mother's request . She wanted him to give her daughter in law , a breath of fresh air . It was true that he hadn't taken her anywhere since their marriage as he was busy searching for a job . He had finished his education under parashurama but being a suta it was not useful for him to get a job . Recruitment in army was reserved for Kshatriyas and him being a suta had no chances of getting accepted . But he was trying to figure out something else to do , he was meeting his friends and talking to people to find something that he could do to support his family .
His marriage was done quickly after his return from education under guru parashurama . His father and father in law were both friends as they both worked under king dritarashtra as charioteer for the royals . Their parents had made plans for them when they were only little , but it was only during teenage that they became aware of it . But by then they were also in love .
" How do I look " his thoughts were interrupted by the sweet voice of his wife .
" Vrishali , how many times do I have to tell you . You look beautiful , we are late already "
" Husband , you are forgetting the fact that I'm not just your wife now . I'm a queen . I have to look exquisite "
He smiled that she was happy about what had happened unlike his parents .
" Indeed , you are the most beautiful queen of aryavarta " he said planting a kiss on her forehead .
She was dressed up in her expensive clothes and was wearing the little jewellery that she had . But even in the minimal jewellery she looked ravishing and it was hard for him to take his eyes off her .
After positive confirmation of her looks with her in laws vrishali finally nodded to her husband , agreeing to leave for the palace .

It was almost dark by the time they had reached the palace . Duryodhana and his family had welcome them warmly but as they had expected Pandavas were not quite happy with them .

Subhadra's pov
Subhadra was invited by her aunt kunti to witness her cousins performing in the ' skills exhibition event '. The event was over , but her mind had been restless , she was enchanted by the mysterious guy who had showed up out of blue and challenged Arjuna and then stole the show. She was rooting for Arjuna until then . His looks itself had made many ladies including her change their stance and everyone were cheering for him instead of Arjuna . And then his smart and quirky replies to dronacharya which was followed by the duel between him and Arjuna . If not for the quick setting of sun , he would have surely won . But in the time they faced each other everyone understood that Arjuna was so lame in front of the mysterious warrior . But then he was brutally insulted by the Pandavas , they were her cousins but they had no right to insult someone for their caste . She teared up when he was bearing the insult in silence , she wanted to rise up and defend him , but duryodhana had rescued him before she could , she was so happy with the turn of events that led to his crowning as the king of Anga . Subhadra knew by then that he had stolen her heart for only his face appeared in her thoughts .
She was now delighted as she got to know that he was attending the feast . She and dushala were preparing for a dance performance before the feast . She really wanted to impress him with her performance .

Subhadra was already blushing seeing him . She was surprised to see a women beside him . She looked heavenly beautiful and it made her a little self-conscious , she had never seen anyone so beautiful . Sure , must be his sister , beauty must be running in their veins , she thought .
It was only Later in her talks with dushala she had realised that it was his wife . Suddenly her world seemed to fall apart . Even if she had met him just that day , she had dreamt a lot about him and to know that he was already taken by someone pained her heart . She felt angry on the girl for no reason , she did nothing yet she had possesed something that should have belonged to her .

Dushala told everyone of the show they had planned and asked everyone to gather in the hall .

Vrishali was so happy that everyone was being so friendly , out of everyone , bhanumati , duryodhana's wife was so lovely and she felt immediately connected to her . She was so talktive and bubbly . Their talks were interrupted when dushala , the only sister of kauravas asked them all to gather in the hall , apparently for a suprise show of some kind .
After a while , everyone were entertained by the dance performed by subhadra and dushala . Musical instruments were played and someone was singing while they both danced . Dushala and subhadra had changed into an entirely different attire .
Arjuna who was watching this could not keep himself from pouring his share of talent into the show so he interrupted them and joined them in the dance .

The girls couldn't protest as he forcefully entered and danced with them .
Arjuna danced cheerfully as the audience began cheering but he didn't realise the fact they were cheering for an entirely different reason . Pandavas were truly happy that their brother was finally getting the recognition that he deserved , ofcourse he was skilled in every art that ever existed on earth , even they didn't know when or where he had learnt them but they knew some talent were gifted naturally . kauravas were laughing and screaming in joy , some were shouting and whistling . Karna was trying hard from bursting out but his wife was already laughing wildly . Same was the case with duryodhana and bhanumati .
