Matching Rings ; Gyuvin x Ricky

On Ricky's birthday he did a live stream with gyuvin and hanbin. Out of all the gifts two stood out to him. A unicorn diary from jiwoong and a plastic toy ring from gyuvin.

They stood out because they were silly gifts but ricky found it funny so he wasn't mad. Ricky didn't actually wear his toy ring around but he kept it safe. It was something from gyuvin and he was the only one who got it which made him feel special.

Being from the same company together made the boys really close.  With gyuvins birthday in around a month, ricky was already trying to think of a meaningful gift.

On screen they were ơn own as "Tom" and "Jerry" but behind doors they were basically attached at the hip.  So ricky put a lot of thought in the gift.

Ricky was shopping at the department store that has all the luxury brands because ricky only liked expensive clothes. While trying to shop for a new coat something sparkly caught his eye.

A silver gucci ring was noticed by the tall blonde.  Gyuvin had gotten ricky a ring for his birthday and even though it was a plastic one he still liked it.

Ricky felt his heart racing trying to imagine gyuvins reaction to the ring. "Cute"he thought. He bought the ring for the boy and hid it under his bed at the dorms. There was still a couple of weeks until gyuvins birthday.

It was gyuvins birthday. Ricky and Gunwook were chosen to go live with the birthday boy. Ricky spent the live trying to make gyuvin and gunwook laugh and it worked. He also wore the ring he got for his birthday

Ricky felt his heart breathing faster as it was almost time to open presents. He got quieter just staring into the camera. What if gyuvin didn't even like his gift? He had spent alot of thought and money on it.

Gyuvin noticed ricky's sudden change in behaviour and put a hand in his thigh so the fans or staff couldn't see. Gyuvin placed his hand on ricky's thigh as he continued to talk to the fans.

Ricky felt even more nervous now. Gyuvins hand on ricky's thigh? Oh my god. he felt his checks burning up.

"Ah should we open up presents gyuvin hyung?" Gunwook questioned with his mouth still stuffed with donuts.

"Ofcourseee" replied gyuvin

After each present gyuvin seemed genuinely excited. He got a famous ramen set that he seemed so happy with. He talked about the ramen for atleast 10 minutes. There was now two gifts left. One was ricky's.

Gyuvin picked the other gift which was from yujin. It was a box of mixed chocolates and snacks. Gyuvins face lit up excitement.

"CHOCOLATE? Ah! I love yujin so much! I'll eat well." Gyuvin admired each and every l thing form the box basically glowing with joy.

Now it was ricky's turn. Jesus christ he was gonna die.

Gyuvin opened the box. He seemed surprised at the logo on the box.

"Gucci?" He seemed shocked so did gunwook.

Both of them knew it was from ricky. Only ricky shopped from there. Gyuvin opened the box letting out a gasp. He slowly pulled it out of the box to show the fans.

"A ring...It's so shiny and probably expensive.." Gyuvin said admiring it.

But that was all. He had put the ring on and moved onto the next topic. He spent more time talking about ramen for gods sake.

Ricky was confused. Did gyuvin not like it? He seemed much more happy with the snacks he got instead of the ring. Maybe ricky didn't actually know gyuvin as well as he thought.

Ricky felt bitter. He just thought gyuvin would show a little more appreciation for a gucci ring. Ricky was overthinking while gunwook and gyuvin were talking. For now he would try to shake that feeling away and distract himself.

Ricky spent the rest of the live talking to gunwook, talking to fans and making minimal contact with gyuvin. Yeah he felt bad about ignoring the birthday boy but he was upset. Understandable right?

The live had ended and the 3 went back home. All the other members were waiting for them as they had a home made hot pot dinner for gyuvin. Ricky who would usually sit next to gyuvin chose to sit next to taerae who was also good at talking.

Gyuvin was surprised when he saw ricky sit next to taerae but he didn't question it. The members enjoyed a casual conversation with warm words as they celebrated gyuvins birthday. They had a couple of drinks (expect yujin)

None of them were drunk just abit tipsy. And being tipsy and emotional ricky went in his room to cry. He talked to taerae the whole night but he couldn't forget about how gyuvin reacted to his gift. Ricky took gyuvins plastic ring off and threw it on his desk.

Soft sobs came from the blonde as the door creeped open.

"Taerae?"
