Kita Hiroshi, also known as Hiro, was known amongst his friends for two reasons: his undying love for poetry as well as his ability to lose himself in his thoughts. He was the kind of person who would spend the entire bus ride staring out the window, lost in his own world. Today was the same, or so he thought.

As he settled into his usual seat in the classroom, he pulled his notebook. The morning sunlight seeped through the window, casting a warm glow on his silver hair as he jotted down his latest poem ideas. Hiroshi was lost in his own world as he captured the brief thoughts and the emotions that danced through his mind.

Suddenly his phone buzzed, pulling him from his trance. It was a text from his best friend Yuki. Hiroshi couldn’t help but smile, Yuki was known for his infamous dramatic messages most of the time.

Vertically Struggling:
Hiro my dear friend i regret to inform you that i have succumbed to the dreaded sickness that plagues humanity😷🤒. Alas i shall not be able to grace the halls with my presence 😔.
Beware of the lurking monsters of boredom in my absence.

(Ps: remember to wait on your brother
to go home.)

Hiroshi couldn’t help but smile at Yuki's messages. He quickly typed out a reply.

Poem guy:
Oh dear Yuki, let your recovery be swift, and for both our battles with boredom be victorious.
I shall carry on in your absence
(Pss: Yea i remember)

With that, Hiroshi put away his phone and returned to his notebook, where he began to write his ideas for a poem. With Yuki out of the picture, Hiroshi had more time to focus on his poems than wandering around school. ‘Guess, I'll spend lunch alone today’ he thought to himself as he sighed.

“Guess I’ll tell shin” he mumbled as he closed the book and got ready for class. ‘Time for hell to begin’.

Lunchtime arrived and the school's cafeteria was filled with the usual chaos. The students were laughing, chatting and hurrying to claim their favourite seats. Hiroshi however found himself in an usual predicament. He sadly hadn’t made any plans to counter his best friend being sick. He felt a bit lost without the company of his best friend.

Trying to make the most of the situation, Hiroshi decided to head to the library. His quiet heaven filled with books. “Though I could go sit with Shin, but that sounds like more trouble than it’s worth.” he said as he made his way to the library, shivering at the thought of possibly meeting his brother’s teammates. “Volleyball players might be hot but they scare me”
