Thirty Five

It's been a week since Dj mom passed, he's barely said two words to anyone. He follows sevyn around like a lost puppy anywhere she goes he goes. Trevante had plans for sevyn birthday but sevyn told him she wasn't leaving dj and he agreed.

"Dj you want spaghetti for dinner?" She asked dj as he sat at the table scrolling on tik tok on his phone, sevyn left all the arrangements up to dj and he decided to cremate his mom like she always wanted. Sevyn had her ashes put into a necklace and into a Mimi urn that sits in his bedroom.

He nodded his head going back to his phone, he wears the necklace everyday and doesn't take it off. He's grown attached to sevyn and trevante badly, sevyn has not forced him to go back to school yet whenever he's ready then she will let him. His mom left the house for him and trevante paid it off he was gonna let dj decide what he wants to do with it.

"Hey baby" trevante just got home from work recently he's cut his hours short so that he spends more time with sevyn and with everyting going on with dj he's home more than ever

"Wassup my boy" he wanted over sitting next to dj who gave him a head nod

"I brought you something" he reached down pulling out a shoe box, dj been asking for these sneakers for a month trevante couldn't get them for christmas but he managed to find them

"Thank you" he said with a slight smile grabbing the shoes, sevyn looked over smiling. Trevante has been trying to do anything to get dj to smile he knows how hard it's been for him

"You're welcome, mamas what you making ?" He asked watching her pour the noddles in the pot

"Spaghetti that's good with you?" He stood up walked over to her looking down at her

"Yea, give me a kiss" she stood on her tippy toes pecking his lips

"I missed you" she said making him chuckle , he knew she was being dramatic because they just say each other in the shower this morning

"I missed you more baby, Maya said call her" she grabbed her phone seeing the messages from Maya giggling

"Ima take a nap can you wake me up when the foods ready?" Dj said lowly making sevyn nod

"Yeah I'll wake you up, let me know if you need me ok?" He nodded at sevyn walking up the steps , sevyn poked her bottom lip out looking at trevante

"He's gonna be Ight mama it's just gonna take some time" sevyn sighed she hated seeing dj so down and so sad , trevante leaned on the counter looking at sevyn

"I know you had plans for my birthday but I don't wanna go no where with him like this, I don't want to do this" she pouted and he rubbed her back, he cancelled the trip he had planned as soon as everhting went down

"I know mama, you love him and I do too. We gon be here for him every step of the way but it's ya birthday my first birthday with you. Let me do something special even if it's small" she wrapped her arms around his waist laying her head on his stomach they stood there for a moment before his phone rang and she pulled away

Sevyn walked over to the stove checking on the meat making sure it was cooking , she heard mikes voice over tre phone making her turn around

"She wants to get married in 3 months " miles said sounding stressed over the phone

"3 months?? Is she crazy?" Sevyn said walking closer to the phone hearing miles whisper

"That's what the fuck I said" miles whispered making tre laugh

"You hiding from her?"

"Hell yeah, Mecca is sleep and she keep trynna tell me to do shit." Mile's whispered into the phone he was currently in the basement trying to hide from sage
