"Why are you so anxious? They'll love you, I promise." Sophie says, keeping her eyes on the road. "You don't know that, they've never met me. They could hate me for all we know!" I rant dramatically from the passengers seat.
"No, but I've talked about you a million times. They follow your Instagram, and most of them even ask about you." Sophie tells me, moving one hand from the wheel to rest on my thigh.
"Fine, but if this goes terrible, I'm deleting all my social media and changing my name." I tell my girlfriend, a smile hinting at my lips. "As long as you're not dramatic about it." She laughs.
After only a few more minutes in the car, we pull into the parking lot of the restaurant. Sophie gets out first, making sure to act quickly so she can open my door for me. We walk up to the fancy building, hand in hand.
"Oh my God!" We hear. Turning our heads to the left, we see Ella, Sophie's coworker, come running up to us. "You're so cute. Oh my gosh, I'm so happy to finally meet you. I'm Ella." She rants happily, engulfing me in a short but tight hug.
"It's great to meet you to, I'm y/n." I say with a nervous smile. "Oh, I know. Sophie talks about you non fucking stop, it's adorable." Ella tells me. "Oh, does she?" I say, glancing to see an embarrassed brunette. "Okay, let's go. Everyone probably has a table." She says, changing the subject.
The three of us enter the restaurant, immediately seeing the rest of the Yellowjackets cast. They wave us over, a smile plastered on all of their faces. "Don't be nervous, you got this." Sophie whispers to me, following her compliment with a kiss to my temple.
I smile, greeting everyone with a hand shake or a hug. My girlfriend pulls a chair out, gesturing for me to sit. Sophie sits to my right, Courtney to my left. Everyone orders their drinks, then begin talking to one another.
"So, I'll pretend like Sophie hasn't told us everything. When did you guys meet?" Courtney asks me, a teasing smile aimed toward Sophie. I giggle, "Uhm, we met at a concert a little over a year ago." Courtney nods, smiling as if it were new news to her.
"Does she get jealous easily?" Samantha asks me from across the table. "Yeah, kinda. Why?" I ask, amused and curious. "I'll hurt you if you continue." Sophie says to Sam. "No, tell me." I smile. "Whenever Sophie has free time on set, she's usually looking at your social media. She gets in a bad mood whenever she sees compliments in your comments."
"Aw, poor baby." I joke, lightly holding Sophies chin in my hand. "Whatever. It makes my performance better." Sophie says, faking annoyance. "I bet she does make your performance better." Liv comments, causing the entire table to bust up laughing, everyone except for Sophie.
"Oh, come on. Lighten up, baby." I say, leaning in to talk in Sophie's ear. She scoffs, "And you thought they wouldn't like you." I smile, "As long as you love me, I'll be good anyway." I press a short kiss to her cheek, then rest my head on her shoulder. "I love you a lot."
