I've heard those words before
But it never hurt as much, until you said it
Our love felt infinite
Never changing
Possible
But now, I watch as the stars pity me.
Telling me to move on
The stars didn't see you the way I did, they only saw you in the dark
But in the light, you were perfect
Full of life
But at night, you were cold
The trees held the truth for me, until the leaves fell
Reminding me that you didn't
Only me
I fell for you
But the concrete of your heart stopped me
I couldn't move past it either
I guess I was right about one thing
Our love was never changing
