"Vivian, I'm your friend, you can trust me," Anna says

I start to speak but she continues to say "You can trust me,"

I look at her to check if she's stopped emphasizing it and she smiles

"I know, I am really sorry Anna, I know I have been distant recently," I say

"It's okay, I understand, you're going through a lot," she says "but, you know, I think you ought to be careful, if you don't sort things out with Harper before school starts you won't be friends with us anymore,"

I stare at her "She stole my boyfriend," I say

"But we've all been friends for so long," She says "Do you really want to throw that away?"

"I don't care,"

"Vivian, your hair is coloured weird and you've been hanging out with that weird Blake girl, you've been acting like a mad woman, I'm sorry to say this, but I just don't think you're doing alright and I'm trying my best to help you,"

"I don't want your help, I don't need this, I can make new friends of my own, all you're doing is being mean to me," I say

"Well, fine," She says "If this is what you want, I'll leave you to be lonely," she grabs her things and walks away glaring me down.

"I'm not lonely!" I shout out at her

When I get back home my whole mood changes when I hear Blake practicing her bass.

"I still can't believe you know how to play that," I smile in disbelief

"Well, would you believe me if I told you I got a gig?" She asks

"No you didn't," I say, "where in? That's amazing!"

"It's no big deal, just in this pub in Dalston,"

"When?"

"Tonight," she says

"How on earth have you gotten a gig in a day," I say

"This isn't my first gig, I've been playing for ages,"

"And here I was just next door thinking I knew you," I say
