It was almost 9:30 in the morning and I had just finished making dinner for (Y/N) and myself. Considering it was her favorite, blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon, I would have thought that the smell alone would have drug her downstairs. But I'm telling you that if I would have placed a bet on that this morning, I would have lost.

"(Y/N/N)! Breakfast is ready!" I called loudly up to her but a few moments go by and she was still nowhere in sight.

After getting everything plated and placing hers in the microwave to ensure that it stays warm, I made my way upstairs to her room. When opening the door though, I noticed that she wasn't in her bed. I knew (Y/N) had to be here somewhere, her car was still sitting in the drive. I looked around and saw that her bathroom light was on, indicating that someone was in there.

"(Y/N)? Are you in there?" I questioned as I made my way further into the bedroom. "In case you didn't hear me, breakfast is ready if you want to come get it." But (Y/N/N) never answered. I continued my way over to the bathroom and looked inside.

At first, I didn't see her in there until I looked over to the far corner, where I saw the (Y/H/C) headed girl laying next to the toilet fast asleep. From what I could tell from the lack of color on her face and the bags under her eyes, she had been up sick most of the night.

I bent down and gently started rubbing her back. (Y/N/N) stirred slightly before opening her eyes. "Hey, sweetheart. You feeling okay?" I questioned as I keep the slow, soft movements on her back.

The (Y/E/C) eyed girl shook her head slowly. She pulled the small blanket she had over her up to her chin and closed her eye once again. I gave her a concerned look before I asked, "Have you been in here all night?"

(Y/N) shook her head once more. "I woke up around one in the morning with the feeling of having to throw my guts up, did that, and been in here ever since." She admitted, not even opening her eyes to look at me again. "I didn't go back to sleep till like eight."

The small girl in front of me was miserable and I didn't even know she was sick till just now. "Why didn't you tell me? I didn't even know till you didn't come down for breakfast and I came looking for you."

"I didn't want to wake you. Bothering you just wasn't on my things to do this morning." She confessed as she opened her eyes just slightly so that she could look at me. "Sorry if I worried you and missed out on breakfast but to be honest with you, I don't think I could keep anything down even if I tried."

I shook my head. "You did no such thing, (Y/N/N). But we do gotta get something in you. Even if it's a pack of crackers and water. Something is better than nothing."

"I'm afraid to move and throw up again. It's the reason why I'm on the floor." She admitted.

I gave her a slight nod. "Think you'll be okay if I was to pick you up and put you in your bed. You'll be more comfortable that way." (Y/N/N) only shrugged at my question. "We'll try it, okay? But you have to roll over for me." She nodded and slowly rolled onto her back. I could tell by the way she squinted that the motion made her a little nauseous. So I gave her a few moments before picking her up bridal style and took her back into her room. As she was in my arms, (Y/N/N) held onto my shirt like her life depended on it. I moved as gently as I could as I placed her down on the bed.

Before leaving the room to get her something small and light to eat, I place the little trash can that (Y/N) kept under her desk on the floor right beside her bed just in case she was to need it. "I'll be right back with something you can possibly keep down. Do you want some peppermint tea to go with it?" All she could do was nod as she pulled the blankets back up to her chin. "Okay, you got it. Don't go anywhere."

"Didn't really plan on it, J." She said as she carefully tried to make herself comfortable again.

It hurt me to know she was so sick and there wasn't much I could do to help her. But I will do anything to make sure she is comfortable until she does get better and gets the nutrition she needs in the meantime. I make my way downstairs once again and start making her tea before I searched the cabinets to find the saltine crackers. Once I had found them and finished up the tea, I headed back up to her room one more time.

Even though I hadn't been gone for all that long, by the time I had returned to (Y/N)'s bedroom she had already closed those (Y/E/C) eyes of hers and fallen asleep. I walked over to the side of the bed that she was on and sat everything I had brought up with me on her bedside table. The girl didn't get sick very often but I have come to notice that when she did it would take her almost no time to fall asleep.

After making sure everything was in her reach when she woke up and wanted it, I rounded the bed and climbed in right beside her. When she felt my presence in her bed, (Y/N/N) cuddle up into my side to which I wrapped my arms instantly around her in return. As we lay there, I could hear the congestion starting to build up as she would breathe so I made a mental note to make sure that we had plenty of sinus meds, maybe even cold and flu meds, for her later. There was no doubt that she would need them. I just hoped that she got better soon.
