Jisung Oneshot

You were on your couch trying to think what to bake for Jisung since his birthday was that day. He had gone to the studio to work on lyrics so you thought 'why not surprise him with brownies'. He would get home late so you decided to start baking.

(a/n: i'm writing this on my computer during lunch lmao, i'm listening to 'Oh My God' by gidle. What's your favorite gidle song? <3)

Seeing that you had all of the ingredients you needed you started baking the brownies. You and jisung have been together for almost a year and this is the first time you want to celebrate his birthday so you felt like these brownies need to be perfect.
You decided to listen to music while working on the brownies.

*time skip bc i can*

You finished the brownies and you decided to take a nap when you heard the front door open. You saw it was Jisung. He looked so tired but you thought 'with hugs and brownies he'll cheer up, right?'

Wrong. He saw you gave you a hug and left

You were beyond confused so you grabbed a decorated brownie and went to your shared room with him and you saw the worst scene you could ever imagine. Your boyfriend cutting himself. You knew he used to do that but when he met you he promised he wouldn't harm himself again.
You took a deep breath and walked over to him

"Jisung? I-i thought you said you promised?" you said with tears in your eyes

"I-i'm sorry, i had a rough day today and..." he trailed off

You showed him the brownie you made for him and you swear you could see his eyes light up.

"I made this for y-you" you said

"You remembered my birthday?" he asked

"Of course i did. You told me on our first date so i decided to bake you brownies" you told him

"Thank you" he broke down crying

*sniff* "i've always hated birthdays, it reminds me that i'm just a burden to my family and to the world" he told you
And in the next 10 minutes he explained how his family would say he was a failure or he was a burden that's why he hated birthdays. You felt so bad but you promised him to always take care of him
