"Not that I'm uncomfortable...it's just that I don't trust them."

The girl, whose name was Y/N, was now part of the sorcerers in Tokyo Jujutsu High School and was well-known by the sorcerers as a good student despite her quiet demeanour.

However, what attracted the eyes of Gojo Satoru, the one who had been the mysterious girl's first encounter, was how he was always trying to find her alone in the academy. It was almost like she always wanted to be alone, almost like she didn't want anyone to be near her.

It wasn't like her nature made him upset or confused, it was as if there was something hidden beneath the scarred face of hers.

It made him curious. Why was she always alone? Why didn't she want to interact with anyone? He knew the answer, even if he didn't want to admit it. Despite her new self as a sorcerer who now wore the school's uniform, she was still the same in his eyes. Her past was still a mystery to him, but even so, he couldn't help but wonder about her.

Gojo continued his walk around the school, yet he couldn't stop thinking about the mysterious girl. He felt like there was something different about her, something he couldn't explain.

Soon enough, Gojo received a call from Yaga: Y/N was supposed to go to Sugisawa High School with Fushiguro. Although this time the task wasn't as easy as it had seemed. Gojo was given instructions to accompany both of them.

Y/N thought she was about to work alone with Fushiguro, but now, she knew that this was even harder. Her eyes lowered a bit before she finally looked up at Gojo, who was now standing in front of her. She then spoke, "Gojo, I'm supposed to accompany Megumi to Sugisawa High School for a mission."

"I see," He said. "So the two of us will be accompanying him, I see. This will be interesting." He replied with a slightly awkward look on his face. He hadn't expected to do a mission with Y/N, but he knew that he would have to accompany her.

"Let's go, then." His reply was simple yet effective. He expected Y/N not to question it and to simply come with him. Luckily, the girl didn't seem to have any problem with the fact that the two of them would be working together.

As Gojo and Y/N continued walking to meet Fushiguro, he found himself wondering about the reason why she was so reserved. It was as if she wanted to stay hidden from everything and even felt a bit uncomfortable around the people of the academy although she didn't have any complaints about the school itself.

And yet, the sorcerer knew that it wasn't his job to worry about it. He was just the escort of Y/N in this scenario. Yet, seeing her this way made it difficult for him to ignore her personality.

As Gojo and Y/N were walking towards the location where they were supposed to meet Fushiguro, the sorcerer finally spoke in an attempt to break the silence. "Y/N, if you don't mind me asking, how does it feel to be in Tokyo Jujutsu High School?" He asked in an attempt to help her break the silence.

Y/N took a short pause before she answered, "Well, I guess it's better than nothing." She then continued walking before speaking again, "I mean, it's not like I hate it here, but I haven't really interacted much with the other students."

After hearing Y/N's answer, Gojo couldn't help but feel slightly worried. Although she hadn't made any complaints about the school before, he assumed that she might have been afraid of interacting with the other students because of her past experiences with others.

"Is there a reason for that?" Gojo finally asked. He didn't want to force Y/N to speak if she was uncomfortable, but he was still curious as to why she hadn't made any new friends despite being at the school for some time.

"Well, maybe...I guess it's not really because of the people here, it's more of...a personal thing," Y/N replied. "I find it a bit difficult to be around people I don't know." She seemed to be trying to justify herself, but to Gojo, it felt like there was a reason as to why she was avoiding interacting with other people.

Seeing Y/N be so reserved about herself made him feel even more curious.

"Do you feel uncomfortable around the other students, then?" Gojo inquired again, hoping to find the right words to help Y/N speak more openly. He was slightly curious about why she was trying so hard to justify herself to him. Although he was known to be quite strict, he had never been rude to anyone in the entire time he had been teaching at Tokyo Jujutsu High School.

"Not that I'm uncomfortable...it's just that I don't trust them." Y/N finally answered. It was as if she was trying her best to be honest.

"I see," Gojo replied with a slight nod. It seemed like his hunch was right: Y/N had trust issues. The sorcerer didn't want to make her uncomfortable, so he decided to change the subject and focus on the task of escorting the students.

"Do you know about the assignment we are going to do?" Gojo asked. "If you're not aware, we will be going to Sugisawa High School to retrieve Sukuna's finger." He couldn't help feeling a bit curious about Y/N's reaction.

He guessed that any reasonable sorcerer would ask why they were supposed to retrieve the finger, but Y/N simply nodded and continued walking, almost as if she already knew the answer to the question.

Y/N's phone rang and she took it out to answer it. Gojo could notice her movements, yet he knew that she preferred to be alone while talking so he decided not to say anything.

Y/N spoke through the line, "What happened?" Her voice was soft and calm, almost as if she was used to talking on the phone, but the situation was clearly something that had made her anxious.

"Sukuna's finger is in the school with some non-sorcerers," Fushiguro replied, "I'm going with Itadori and we'll try to stop them. You and sensei go there in case something goes wrong."

As Fushiguro explained the situation to Y/N, Gojo couldn't help but feel slightly worried. A lot of things could go wrong with the task, seeing as they would be protecting non-sorcerers from the curse that was housed inside Sukuna's finger. Yet, the sorcerer tried to keep his worries in check to avoid showing any sign of uneasiness to Y/N.

"Are you okay?" Gojo finally asked. He was aware that Y/N was known for her reserved nature and didn't want to push her past her limit.

"Yes, I'm okay," Y/N replied. She was clearly trying to mask her worries, yet she was aware that Gojo would notice her slight uneasiness as he had always been known for how perceptive he was. The sorcerer didn't say anything in response, and instead, simply nodded as a sign of his understanding.

"We'll be waiting for you," Fushiguro said. "Make sure to be prepared for fighting," He added, referring to how Y/N was tasked to protect them as they went to retrieve the finger.
