We held hands both trembling in fear. I hated the fact that we were being hunted by a friggin group of wild nomad vampires and there was nothing I could do about it. Edward drove frantically while Jasper sent us calming vibes, I knew he was trying his best but it didn't work very well. We flew into the driveway at the Cullens and I freaked out when I saw Carlisle standing there. Now, why you may wonder? I can read auras on a basic level as well, a skill I'd been picking up recently and his was a dark navy blue.

"What's the matter, Carlisle, and don't sugar coat it."

He was stunned by my bluntness but nodded sadly.

"I received a call on the way home that there was a car accident and the patients are in a coma. I was worried about my suspicion, so I sent Rose and Emmett to go and check. When they came back, their response sadly confirmed my worry. Lynn, it was your parents."

My world crashed. First looney tune vampires are after Bella and I because we're human and now my mom and dad are in a coma due to a car crash?! What the hell kind of a teen drama am I in here? Thankfully Jasper was by my side before I hit the ground.

"I know it's a lot to take in right now Lynn and I'm so sorry. But right now you need to focus on your safety. Your parents are in the care of my most trusted doctors and nurses at the hospital."

I shot my head up to the unfamiliar presence I felt and I screamed angrily. It was the dark skinned vampire. Jasper wrapped his arms tighter around me and Bella ran forward so she and Edward were beside us as the two vampires bared their teeth at him.

"I come with nothing but a warning. I've seen James and his games for so long now, but I'm too old and too tired of them. But the woman, Victoria, don't underestimate her or you will be in trouble."

With that he left and I was shaking, Leo appeared in front of me and tried calming me down. He realized nothing would get through to me when my eyes looked like a storm. Right now nothing would calm me down. Not until I knew Bella and I were safe from these psychopaths and my parents were out of the coma. It was still hard for me to process because my father was the most careful driver out there.

When all of us were in the garage the plan started. It shocked me to learn that Jasper had fought in battles between vampires before but it gave me a sense of comfort that he knew what to do in this case in order to protect me. Rose and Emmett stayed by my side to give me more comfort but right now I didn't need comfort. I was a boiling pot of rage.

I sat quietly chewing on my lip before Jasper slipped over and pulled my lip from between my teeth and it was then that I forgot that me doing that could trigger them with blood. I looked down and fiddled with my hands instead. I clearly zoned out but was brought out of it when Rose tapped my nose.

"You're going with the human and Alice and Mitchell while the rest of us deek out James and Victoria. Be safe Ly, you're my best friend and Jazz has never been happier than he's been since he met you so you better be in one piece. Oh and try not to be annoyed."

I was mad that I couldn't stay with Jasper, Rose and Emmett but I knew it was because Bella and I had to get out of Forks for everyone's safety. I hopped off the counter I was perched on and wandered over to Jasper. He pulled me into his side and kissed my forehead softly. I looked at Leo, Monroe and Tallulah, all who looked sadder than normal which scared me to the bone.

I pulled away from him and walked to the car Bella was already sitting in, I hopped beside her and stared at Edward, my message crystal clear, I'd do my best to protect his mate if he protected Jasper. He nodded and off we flew.

We'd been driving for hours and I was beginning to get really moody and I think it was apparent because finally we pulled into a hotel. Alice informed us that we'd be staying in the room until the coast was clear which royally pissed me off. It was sunny! That pasty moron wouldn't be caught in the sun just to try and kill me. I wanted to explore the sun which we barely got in Forks. I think my displeasure was palpable because Alice got us a room with a balcony. Fine, get a little tan at least.

When we got to the room I kicked off my shoes before I flopped on the huge bed with fluffy pillows and blankets. I peered up at Bella and laughed because she was half asleep on the door. Mitchell guided her to the bed and she was out like a light. Alice told me it would be good to get some sleep for me too, so I did.

When I woke up, I went right out to the balcony and embraced the scalding sun and I enjoyed it. My bliss was short-lived. Bella screamed my name which made me bust into the room absolutely terrified.

"What! Who's ass do I have to beat!"

I could tell my joke didn't hit when I saw their faces. I needed to know what's wrong.

"The tracker changed his course. He knows you both aren't in Forks anymore. He's heading here. To the ballet studio Bella used to attend. I just had a vision."

"Fuck off man, I wanna rip his head off."

See? I say stupid stuff when I'm nervous. I instantly sat down besides Bella and hugged her tightly. She nudged me to follow her and I did. She pulled her phone out and sent a text.

We need to distract them. I'm going to the studio. He has my mom.

Now it was personal. You do not mess with people I care about's family and live to get away with it. I responded.

Let the hellfires come and burn that vampire alive.

No one could have ever predicted what happened next and it would affect all of us for the rest of forever
