"What the hell are we doing here?" The car pulled to a slow stop and Kiara turned the car off, pocketing the keys, "I'm gonna go talk to Sarah." I sat up partially and turned to watch as she hopped from the car and rounded it, "you guys stay here..."
"Perfectly focused." Pope opens the door excitedly and then skips off after Kiara as JJ leans out the already open window a little and calls out to the girl, "you sure this is a good idea?"She doesn't even bother turning around as she walks up to the property, simply hops up the rock wall as she replies, "she's the only one who can clear John B, it's the last place they'll look because of how stupid it is."
"Should we go in with them?" I ask leaning on my hands as my body stays twisted to look at the two hop the wall and into the Cameron's residence without much care, "they'll be fine, sides, Popes starting to get weird."
"He's not weird, he's just high..." JJ huffs a laugh looking out the window still, "it's not just that though," his eyes pan to mine and I glance down, scanning his face with a short look, "does your head still hurt?" He reaches up once again and feels the side of my head, "I'm fine, it's just like smacking your head against the window on a school bus, it's just a smaller form of transportation."
Glancing back to the wall I sighed, JJ leaned back against his seat while watching me, "better get comfortable, might be here a while sweetheart." Sighing again I plopped down, laying back on his lap as he spoke up, "can I ask you something?"
My head turns so I can properly look up at him, my hand edging up to grasp his shirt with my fingers, pinching the fabric as I nodded, "yeah?" I looked at the material snug between my fingertips, "did something happen with John B?"
Freezing, my brows furrowed and I glanced back to his eyes, "what do you mean?" His jaw tensed and when I caught it my brows relaxed a bit, "nothing..." I stared, "JJ."
Leaning up the best I could in my position I swallowed, "what?" Reaching up I pulled down on the nape of his neck, tugging him down to me so I could lean up farther and kiss him. He pulled away, whispering close to my lips, close enough that I could feel the breath of his words, "what was that for?"
"What was what for?" I ask as I peer into his eyes, looking at his lips again before I kiss him once more, leaning down as he pushed down into the kiss, hunching over me to lock his lips against mine with a groan. Unfortunately everything was ripped away, Pope had returned, oblivious but upset as he ripped the front passenger door open, returning to his seat with a slam of the very same door not even giving us a spared glance.
JJ had pulled back an inch or so, looking at the back of Pope's chair, my own head turning to glance as well, "everything okay?" Pope mumbled while smacking his head back against the headrest but yet still refused to look back at us, instead he tried to relax and became quiet.
Waiting for a reply did nothing, we were all sat in silence due to Pope's depressing atmosphere until JJ pulled my face back and kissed me again, trying to stay silent as the kiss turned from simple pecks to him nipping at my lip as we made out in the backseat of Kiaras car.
It felt inappropriate at best and maybe we weren't being the best of friends for the boy, but with the silence and his unwillingness to answer, I thought it'd be best to give him his own time. Even if I was losing a war in my mind about if what I was currently participating in was wrong enough to make me stop kissing the blonde teen hovering over me.
