Chapter Two: Cook, Fight, What's the Difference?

Sana POV & Present Tense:

Well that wasn't expected. 

A cooking challenge? Sounds cool. 

"C-Cooking?" Someone asks. 

"Wait! Cooking?? 

We're here to take the Hunter Exam!" A guy in the crowd shouts.

So? I mean, it's a skill. 

Even if the Hunter License makes you loaded. 

"That's quite right. 

Your challenge for the Second Phase is to produce a dish that will satisfy our palate." Menchi announces. 

"Why do we have to cook?!" He demands answers. 

She places her hands on her hips. 

"That's because we're Gourmet Hunters." She says with complete confidence. 

People laugh. 

It's a legitimate thing, though. 

"Man, what a let down." 

"They're Gourmet Hunters! Hah!" 

Stuff like that being thrown around. 

"Well, Gourmet Hunters, 

what do we have to cook?" Someone asks, still recovering from the laughter.

Menchi frowns. 

"Buhara." She says. 

His foot reaches the ground with a loud 'thump'. 

"The required ingredient is pork." He says simply. 

Everyone is shocked. 

"Pork? As in pig meat?" Someone asks to confirm. 

Buhara replies with, 

"You're free to use meat from any species of Biska Forest Pigs. 

You must use the facilities here to prepare the pork. 

And you only pass if we both find it delicious." 

Benchi crosses her arms and says with her eyes closed, 

"And we will evaluate more than just taste. 

Don't underestimate the intricacies of cooking. 

Got it?" She lets known sternly. 

"When we've both eaten our fill, the exam will end." She says. 

A guy from the crowd waves it off.

"We got it, we got it. 

Let's just start." He says. 

Buhara smiles and hits his stomach, sounding like a drum. 

It's almost like a stampede! 

Everyone comes flooding out as if it's a huge race. 

After a small while of running with the group, 

we walk around, searching. 

"Catch a pig and cook it. 

This is way easier than the First Phase." Leorio says with a sigh. 

But they're probably gonna be harsh with the judging. 

"I hope it will be that simple..." Kurapika says. 

Suddenly, Gon runs off and slides down the hill. 

Everyone else starts sliding and they all bump into each other.
