Mischief Rat (A Pucca FC Fanfic)

Fruit Salad. Yummy yummy!!!

It has now been 2 days since I seen Tobe. I hope he's ok, I'm pretty sure the whole confession situation kinda scared him, hopefully for the better tho.

Anyways, it's pretty late now. I guess I could head to bed but I'm WAY too busy watching The Wiggles on my phone to do that. Actually, It's gotten a lot quiet. I look up and see the campfire we we're all sitting around, but here's the thing. Everyone else is either in their tents now or asleep at the fire. Only Venom, Grey, Sonic, Rook, Abyo and I sit at the warm fire. I think I'm the only one awake.

I keep watching the Wiggles sing about fruit salad, but then..

"Is that the Wiggles?"

I look behind me. It's Tobe! He's finally back!!

"Mhm." I say, trying not to be loud.

He sits down next to me, "I used to watch that show growing up."

I turn my phone a bit so that he could see it too. We both sit watching the wiggles as I wag my tail. I'm so happy he's back man, I was kinda worried about him.

"Is that Tobe??"

I look up and see Abyo staring at us.

"Nggghhhh... what?" Venom peaks his head up from behind the log, staring at us.

"Heheh." Abyo smirks, "Tobe... more like... ToGAY!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!"

Everyone around the fire groans at Abyo's joke except me and Tobe. I just sit there in silence, but Tobe gets up, and tries to leave.

"Tobe," Sonic calls out to him, the ninja looks back at him, "Are you gonna explain the big freak out you had a couple days ago?"

He gets out his sword.

"Put. The sword. Down." Venom demands, "Drop it."

Tobe drops the sword, walks back over and sits down next to me. Fear is plastered all over his face.

"Can I ask you something?" Rook buts in, Tobe looks at her, "If you crush on Garu, then why do you want to kill him?"

Tobe looks down and starts to tear up. He covers his face and starts to cry. I put my arm around him and rub his back, trying to comfort him.

"Hey heyy.. it's ok if you don't wanna explain." Venom looks at him, "If something is that stressful for you then you don't have to explain it."

He pauses. And then, "Ooh! I know! Maybe you could try to regain his trust. What if you drew him something?" Venom smiles, "Your REALLY good at drawing. That self portrait you did days ago was.. amazing!"

Rook nods in agreement.

"I guess.." Tobe sniffs and wipes his tears,

"Listen man." Sonic leans over and looks at my bestie, "There's nothing wrong with being a lil gay. That's something I CONSTANTLY tell Shadow, but he just DOESN'T listen."

"Wait really???" Venom looks at Sonic,

"Uhhh, yeah." Sonic sasses back.

"Listen man, I know Garu might hate you right now, but it's ok because gaining someone's trust again after something takes time." Rook chimed in once again, "It'll all be worth it in the end. My girlfriend took YEARS before she could trust men again."

"Mm." Tobe looks down, "So.. how do I get.. closer to him?"

"Just spend some time with him," Venom started, "talk with him. Hell, even a simple hi is always good."

"Make sure you apologize to him tho." Sonic chimes in,

"Oh yeah. That'll be big." Venom glances at Sonic and back at Tobe

...And this is where I start to fall asleep. They keep talking, I don't know what they said, but MAN my sleepiness just HIT me like a train.

"Darren you good?" I hear Venom,

"HUH!?" I jolt awake, "Ah.. sorry.. I'm tired."

"Oh, you can go to your tent if you want," Venom looks at me, "No one's stopping you."

"Yeahhh..." I get up and start to walk away,

"Can I.. can I go sleep too?" Tobe asks them,

"Sure," Venom squeaks, "Oh, by the way Tob, if you ever need ANYTIHNG, literally ANYTHING AT ALL, just know that we'll be here."

"Kay.." Tobe mumbles,

"Good night boys!" Venom squeals again, "Best of luck to y'all both!"
Tobe follows me to our tent and we go inside it. The tent is kinda small and is enough for two people to fit, maybe three. It kinda reminds me of my den in a way (I miss my den...).

"Do you still have that sketchbook?" Tobe zips the door up,

"Yeah," I try to look for it in my packed stuff,

"Sorry I was uhm.. gone for so long." Tobe looks away, tearing up again, "I uhm.. I.."

I see him start to cry and I lean over to hug him.

"Tobe, its ok." I comfort him,

"I ruined it..." He cries,

"It'll be ok man." I wag my tail and slightly rub his back, "Lets just take this as a chance to.. be his friend again."

"Y-yeah.." he sniffs and pulls back. He wipes his tears and I start to look for the sketch book in all my packed stuff. I find it almost immediately and hand it to him.

"Thanks."

"Mhm!" I smile and wag my tail, I then place my hand on his shoulder, "You know I'm always here for you right?"

He looks up at me,

"I.. I care about you. A lot. I worry about you a lot. I wanna see you improve man. That's all I really want."

Tobe smiles at me, and gives me a quick hug, "Thank you."

I wag my rat tail before we let off from each other. He goes to the one corner of the tent to draw and I go to the other one to finally sleep.

"Night man." I say,

"Night."
