Whispers filled the hallways as a lonely looking girl walked.
The only thing distracting her was the music from her earbuds.
Disheartened Rika begged her mom, so she could miss school for a few days. Her mom understood.
As she was alone. She couldn't help but think. 'What if they're right?'
It hadn't even been a few hours, when she got a visitor. Alarmed, rika crept to the door, since her mom was out shopping.
"Oh ichinose-kun!" "Hi..."
He hugged her tightly. "Are you ok?!"
"Yeah!"
"Umm darli-" "ichinose"
"Yeah?"
"You don't have to feel pressured to date me" "you don't have to feel the same way either"
"Is this about the rumours?"
Rika nodded. Ichinose sighed in response. He tilted her chin up.
"Rika I love you" "I don't care about those!"
"But they're right, I tend to cross boundaries and be a bit creepy without realizing it"
"You're a good person, otherwise I'd never have dated you"
"Really?"
Ichinose nodded. He stared at her before blurring out how pretty her eyes were. Rika blushed.
Rika found herself smiling as she kissed him, while holding his hands. "And you are handsome!"
While watching movies and eating, Rika jumped up. "Darling!"
"Don't you still have school?"
Ichinose chuckled. "School was over an hour ago"
"Speaking of school" "Promise me, you'll come tomorrow!"
"I don't know..." Rika said softly, trailing off.
"Don't listen to the rumors"
Rika bit her lips before nodding.
Excited he jumped up and kissed her cheek, before running out the door.
Rika was startled, but amused. She couldn't help but love ichinose more.
Her mom had just arrived.
"So you brat, who was that handsome boy?"
"Mom, he's my boyfriend!" "You forgit again!"
"Oh my, that's right" "I've been too busy" "how nice"
"If he breaks your heart-"
I threw a pillow at her. "There's no need for that mom!" I said as I got up to help with the groceries.
