The Proposal

Heels clicking on the tiled marble floor, Ann swayed her hips, walking majestically into the hall, today is the launching of "Rose" wine, and as one of the ambassadors, she was given an invite. The incessant flashing of cameras graced her entry. She smiled at the different cameras,  showing off her wavy black hair, the dress was opened at the back revealing her smooth spotless skin, the dress began at her waistline staying dangerously as it would drop at any time, it brought out her hourglass figure that would make any man drop on his knees just to have her.

She got to the reserved table and couldn't help but curse inwardly 

"This perverted guy is here" she muttered under her breath when she saw Ritego and could only hope that he would not disturb her.

"Who do we have here? Am glad I get to see you again" Ritego retorted excitedly

"It's a pleasure seeing you again too Mr. Ritego" Ann replied shortly

James' eyes never left Ann's as she walked and when she finally sat with Ritego, he could feel his blood boil, he hoped he would be able to control his anger but seeing the way Ritego was smiling and making advances got him standing from his sit, without any alarm he walker gently to a female waitress and whispered inaudible words into her ears and with that, he walked out of the hall.

Ann fidgeted on her sit, Ritego’s constant 

smile was making her uneasy; she was snapped out of her thoughts when a waitress spilled the "Rose" wine on her

"Am sorry ma'am it's an oversight" The waitress pleaded

"A stupid oversight, are you blind?" Ritego retorted gaining 

the attention of a few persons

"There is no cause for alarm, where is the ladies?" Ann replied

"This way ma'am, I will take you there" The waitress replied.

"You sure you are going to be fine?" Ritego questioned which got Ann nodding her head in affirmation.

Ann followed closely after the waitress and the lady finally stopped at her door

"You can go in ma'am, that's the restroom." The waitress replied politely

"Okay, Thanks" Ann replied and walked in but met darkness.

Ann turned to open the door knob when she felt a hand grab her and in a swift motion her back hit the wall, she could feel the person's breath fanning her neck and the muscular hands rubbing her smooth back which brought a sweet tingling 

sensation.

"Why would you talk to him." James retorted and switched the lights on

"you don't own me, so I don't owe you any explanation" Ann replied fiercely 

"Do I have to spell it out to you, isn't it obvious that am in love with you!!"James fired back

The was dead silence, their gazes locked in each other, she could see different emotions flash in his eyes, their bodies were gummed together, their heartbeats echoing their emotions.

"I know this may come as a surprise to you, but have kept this feeling bottled up for a long time, you deserve the very best and I know I can't give that to you, but can't you accept this imperfect man" James muttered and tears was already glistening in Ann's eyes.

"Am not good for you" Ann replied

"Am the one who's not good for you" James replied

"Ann, I want a woman who would make me see other pretty women as nothing, I want a woman who would feel the empty gap in my heart, I want a woman who makes me happy and that woman is no other person than YOU" James continued

"Are you not scared of death, my life is so complicated right now, there is no trace of who my fiancée’s killers are" Ann retorted already in tears

"I don't care about your past, what am concerned about is the future, I promise to fight your battles with you and I promise to love you with every fiber in me" James replied

"Please would you be MINE" James continued

"You an amazing person and yes I would be yours" Ann replied with tears slipping out of her eyes 

"Yes!! Yes!!" James retorted and carried Ann in his arms swinging her. She giggled excitedly in his arms and he finally dropped her down, they held gazes and in slow motion, they crashed their lips in a passionate kiss, which got her melting like jelly in his arms, his hands moved to her back rubbing it, bringing sensations to her body, her toes curled in pleasure and her hand roamed freely in his hair. The clapping of hands got them detaching from each other

"Bravo! Bravo! What beautiful sight, did I interrupt anything, please continue " Ritego retorted

"You both can continue with your business, I only have one business with you, Ann, ON MY BED" Ritego retorted laughing

"You idiot! The nerves” The riled-up James moved forward to punch him

"No, don't" Ann retorted which got him pausing.

"Wow! What a beautiful sight, two love birds, I would take my leave now" Ritego retorted laughing as he walked out of the room.

"just let it slide, there is nothing to worry" Ann retorted trying to calm the tension.

Ritego laughed hard as he entered his car and rode out of the building, he smiled to himself as he continued his drive but soon enough, he noticed the breaks were not functioning and he couldn't help but squirm on the seat 

"What is going on" Ritego retorted, his face looking as scared as ever and then a truck from nowhere drove speedily towards him, he pedaled the car in the other direction and his car crashed into a pole, the seatbelt helped reduce the effects of the crash but he could feel blood dripping down his head

"Help me! Help me" Ritego muttered inaudible, he could see a shadow walk towards his car and the car door opened 

"Please help me!" Ritego muttered

"I was asked to deliver this message; next time you choose wisely the type of woman you want ON YOUR BED" The masked shadow retorted

"What! Please help me "Ritego mumbled as tears slipped through his eyes, regretting ever chasing after Annabel Kel but the masked shadow just walked away and within a few seconds the car BLEW UP
