This is a reimagining of the day where Dark Choco attacks Dark Cacao and gets exiled. (big angst warning)
----------------------------------------------------
Caramel Arrow sits at her desk passionately writing something. She folds up the paper, sticks it into an envelope and seals it with a heart shaped stamp. She holds the envelope out in front of her and gets a long look at it. Caramel takes a slow, deep breath, holds the envelope to her chest and gets up from her chair before gracefully exiting her room.
Caramel walks through the halls of the citadel at a moderately fast pace, trying her best to contain herself. The servants and the other watchers gave her looks as she passed by, her abnormally joyful aura was impossible to ignore. She continues walking, eagerly checking every hallway and corridor looking for her prince.
She looks through an archway nicely placed at the center of one of the halls. Through it she can see the violet carpets leading to the king's throne and the stained-glass windows brightening the trail. Dark Cacao walks up the carpeted path to his kingly throne, not really seeming to take notice of Caramel Arrow watching him. A figure approaches the king from behind. It looks like... Dark Choco Cookie?
Caramel Arrow's face lights up upon seeing him, she starts hastily fixing her hair and taking her last deep breaths as she prepares herself to confess. Just as she finishes, she turns around and watches a tragedy happen right before her eyes. The prince strikes the king with a mighty blow of his sword. Strawberry jam stains the carpets and splats onto the prince's chin and pure white armor. The ominous red glow of his blade shines brighter than anything else in the dimly lit room.
Dark Cacao falls to his knees, Dark Choco takes a shaken step back, his shoulders raise and his grip on his sword tightens. Caramel Arrow stands idly at the arch, completely frozen from what she had just witnessed. In the midst of her utter shock the envelope slips from her shaky hands, and it gently falls onto the wooden floors. Caramel hastily hides herself behind the arch with her eyes still shot open as she tries to process the events that have just unfolded before her. She feels a sharp pain in her chest and a lump form in her throat, she tries her best to hold back her tears and intense emotion.
A deep and rough voice speaks from out of view, "Leave and... never come back." Quick, heavy steps can suddenly be heard echoing through the citadel. On a whim, Caramel jolts from her position and sprints after Dark Choco Cookie. They run through the halls, out of the citadel, and through thick, fluffy snow until they reach the kingdom's borders. "Dark Choco Cookie...! WAIT!" Caramel yells. Dark Choco turns around, Caramel gasps at the sight of all the strawberry jam on his body and weapon.
"W-why...?" Caramel says with a slightly shaky voice, tears slowly begin to form in her eyes. Dark Choco looked completely broken, he just gave her a look of immense sorrow, pain, fear and remorse. "I'm so sorry..." He mutters, and he runs away, disappearing into the thick, white forest. Caramel Arrow falls to her knees as she breaks down, she hugs her arms and wipes away her tears as they come pouring down her cheeks.
Back at the Citadel, the king is being treated for his injuries. Servants hastily scramble to clean up the mess from the horrible attack, and subjects crowd the castle gates wondering what has caused all this commotion. Crunchy Chip roams through the halls searching for Caramel Arrow Cookie. He notices an envelope on the ground and picks it up, he turns it over and on the back it reads:
"From: Caramel Arrow Cookie
To: Dark Choco Cookie"The abundance of heart decoration on the letter told Crunchy Chip everything he needed to know about the letter's contents. He began to feel horribly bad for Caramel Arrow and started frantically looking around for her. "Caramel Arrow Cookie? CARAMEL ARROW, WHERE ARE YOU!?" He shoves the letter into his pocket and continues searching.
Caramel Arrow walks through the castle doors and makes her way towards her chambers. Her expression was very weary and serious though the wetness on her cheeks was visible. Crunchy Chip and the Second Watcher attempt to get her attention as she passed by, but she completely dismisses their presence. She makes it to her room and locks herself in, wanting to just forget all of today's events.
