Someone requested 2023 VMA 's g!p Taylor I kinda made this based on the VMA's but I forgot the request was for a g!p Taylor so I'll try and come up with something else but hope you enjoy this for now!!
3rd person POV
Taylor swift and Y/l/n have been enemies for as long as pop culture can remember. They were in the same field, they debuted at the same time. It was like every year they'd switch off and on as to who would be winning. Their fans hated each other and it was widely know that the two weren't the biggest fans of each other.
Taylor hung out with Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, and Selena Gomez
Y/n hung out with Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Scarlett Johansson, and Dua Lipa.
The two had completely different friend groups, almost the exact opposite some might say. They were at the 2023 VMA's after party. Y/n spotted Ice spice and a tall blonde at the bar. She couldn't help but roll her eyes at the blue eyed woman's presence.
Little did the two know they equally as drunk as the other.
"An old fashioned please" Y/n shouted over the loud music as the bartender nodded as she turned around and looked at the crowd
"Y/n y/l/n" a voice called out causing y/n to immediately roll her eyes at her nemesis voice
"Not tonight swift" y/n said causing the blonde to chuckle
"What's wrong mad that you lost to me again"Taylor teased
"Aww what's wrong mad scooter Braun owns ur catalog" y/n shot back causing Taylor to clench her jaw.
(A/n : if you guys couldn't tell by this whole book, Im a swiftie and do not stand with that loser 🚫🛴 that line was strictly for the book! )
"Funny"Taylor scoffed narrowing her eyes at the shorter girl.
"Old fashion" the bartender shouted placing the glass behind the two on the counter causing the two girls to reach for the drink
"What are you doing that's mine" y/n said as Taylor shook her head
"I ordered this before you came over to the bar" Taylor scoffed as I rolled my eyes
"Another one please" The shorter girl flagged down the bartender as he nodded
"Where's your boy toy huh? playing pretend on a set of another one of his never to be seen or heard movies" y/n asked taylor as the blondes smile faltered
"I wouldn't know...we've been broken up for awhile now" Taylor said as y/n felt a wave of guilt flood through her
"Oh- I'm sorry I genuinely did not know that Taylor, I wouldn't have-" Y/n apologized as she knew what a long term break up could do to a person.
"It's okay, y/n really I'm over it"Taylor gave the shorter girl a light smile as y/n shook her head
"No really it's not, I know first hand what that's like and there has to be some feeling still there even if you don't know that there is" y/n explained as Taylor waved her off
"Let me buy you a drink as an apology" y/n said as Taylor looked over the girl before nodding the both of them already tipsy
"Congratulations by the way" y/n said as they waited for the new drink to arrive.
"Thank you, I think I almost believe you meant it" Taylor joked as y/n shook her head
"No really I mean it...you're an incredible artist. My nieces love your music so that means I've heard a few songs here and there... not to mention you drive me to work harder, it's nice to actually have some competition" y/n said as Taylor laughed, Taylor knew what the girl meant and that was no shade to their other peers in their field but realistically looking at it the two were always neck and neck leaving the others in the dust. Taylor was competitive everyone knew that but she also appreciated how much y/n actually enjoyed her craft so it made their rivalry a more enjoyable one.
