charlotte stared at her phone in disbelief. this can't be real? it's got to be a joke surely? lando loved her, didn't he?
a knock at her door brings her out her thoughts. she opens it to see charles, carlos and pierre all staring at her. they walk into her hotel room and charlotte sighs, cuddling into the sofa.
"tell me it's fake?" charlotte begs.
"we can't get hold of him charl." pierre mutters. "i asked oscar and a few of the mclaren team and no one can find him."
"he isn't answering his phone." charles adds.
"charlotte, he wouldn't do anything to hurt you." carlos sighs and hugs the hurting girl.

charlotte had a lovely night with charles, pierre and carlos. she was tucked up in bed now and dreading the race tomorrow. she knew she'd have to see lando. he wouldn't miss the race. she felt the empty side of the bed and sighed.
just as her eyes were closing, she heard the door to the hotel room open. she knew it was lando. she could smell his aftershave.
"charlotte?" lando whispered.
"you have a nerve coming in here and speaking to me." charlotte shouts. "how dare you!"
"wh-. what's wrong? what's happened?" lando stutters.
"who's anna? how is she? she had a good day with you? her pic she posted of the two of you was cute." charlotte spits.
"anna? who? what?" lando splutters.
"if you're cheating that's fine. but have the balls to tell me lando." charlotte groans.
"cheating? i've been out all day finding the perfect ring for you!" lando yells. "not a wedding ring, a promise ring. you're the one i want to spend my life with."
"but anna posted a photo? she has been commenting stuff under my posts about you." charlotte mutters confused.
"i had to block someone called anna? she was saying stuff about you and how she'd break us up." lando sighs and pulls charlotte into his chest. "you're the only girl for me."
"i feel so bad. i'm so sorry lando!" charlotte mutters into his chest.
"it's ok, i forgive you baby." lando smiles and kisses her forehead. "look."
lando opens a velvet box and reveals a beautiful ring.
"it's a knot, like an infinity symbol. i want you forever." lando grins. charlotte hands her hand to lando and he places the ring on her wedding finger. "my promise to you. i only want you. i want to do life with you." lando smiles.
charlotte starts crying and lando hugs her.
"forever." charlotte cries.
