NITI had been having a tough day, trying to avoid conversations with everyone, especially Samarth, ever since she realized he had no knowledge of their complicated past. The confrontation from the previous day had left her deeply shaken emotionally, and to make matters worse, she had been hastily summoned to the office without a chance to explain herself. Adding to her distress, Samarth had not reached out to her after their heated exchange.

As she awoke in the morning, her first instinct was to check her phone, desperately hoping for a message from him. Maybe, just maybe, there would be a message from Samarth, a sign that he was willing to talk things through. However, as she checked her messages, her heart sank in disappointment. There was no message, no indication of his willingness to connect. The night had been restless, sleep escaping her as she replayed the previous day's events in her mind. When she did manage to drift off into slumber, she had awoken with a sense of unease, her heart heavy with unresolved issues.

She knew waiting was a stupid option. She could herself contact him, but it was already evening and her impractical ego had made a simple act of texting a big task.

Her day had been bad. Bad bad. After hearing an earful from the team manager yesterday for being late, and by her colleagues for not bringing the coffee on time she was already disheartened when she got to know that the project she had worked so hard on was discarded.

At first, she felt a surge of frustration and wounded pride. Anger and sadness mingled within her. However, as she processed the situation, her emotions began to shift. Upon realizing that her name had been left off her own project, she couldn't help but feel a strange sense of satisfaction.

Serves them right!

It was a fleeting moment of triumph amidst the boss's scolding, with Niti, Aditi, and Kritya all facing the consequences of the project's failure.

As they walked away from the boss's office, Niti mustered the courage to address the issue of working together. "Let's make sure we divide our tasks properly this time," she suggested with a forced smile.

Kritya managed to return the smile, albeit insincerely, but Aditi abruptly stopped and pulled Kritya aside, causing Niti to come to a halt as well.

"Who are you to dictate how we work?" Aditi practically growled through clenched teeth. "It's because of you that we have to redo our entire project!"

Niti was taken aback, struggling to process Aditi's accusation. "Excuse me?" she retorted, her voice tinged with disbelief. "How could it possibly be my fault? I wasn't even here!"

Aditi, seemingly oblivious to the people around them, took an intimidating step closer to Niti. She glanced furtively around, ensuring there were no witnesses, and then forcibly unbuckled Niti's waist belt. Kritya let out a silent yelp, whispering nervously, "What are you doing?"
