NICO LAYED ON the couch of her older brothers living room in his apartment. ( that he'd be leaving at the end of the month ) she'd been staying there for about a week and a half while her parents were getting renovations on their new house down in texas.
it was gonna be a big move from georgia to texas but nico was pretty excited
"yo neeks!" lucas called, as he walked into the living area from the hallway.
nico groaned at the nickname she used to love, "yes luke?" she questioned
"do you remember cam?" he asked, landing next to her feet on the couch. "yeah, sure. why?" she responded
"so he's doing this AAU tournament basketball coaching thing, right? so he invited me to help him coach and be like a co-coach for his chicago team and since right now you're living with me, you have to come" lucas explained
nico wanted to laugh, her brother barely knew anything about basketball. "since when do you know how to coach a basketball team?"
lucas slapped her leg in offense, "ill have you know i know quite a bit." he said in a fake posh tone
"2K doesnt count" nico told him, resulting in a major side eye from her brother
"okay first, shut up. second, you have no choice so go pack our plane leaves tomorrow night!" lucas smiled triumphantly as he saw his sisters shocked face, patting her leg he got up and walked back towards his room
nico yelled to him, "wow brother of the year ! forcing his sister to go to chicago with him!"
TWO DAYS LATER and they were in chicago, on cams air bnb doorstep. lucas knocked as nico paused her one direction playlist. "is he gonna answer? we've been out here for hours"
"nico will you relax? we've been standing here for two minutes." lucas responded to his dramatic sister, right on time cam opened the door.
cams smile brightened once he saw lucas, "lucas! hey man!" he and lucas hugged, having not seen eachother in about four months.
lucas and cam had been friends when in elementary school, until cam moved to arizona for middle school. even since then the boys have always made time to talk, and had been bestfriends no matter what.
"neeks, whats up!" cam exclaimed, hugging the short girl, making her smile.
"hey cam." her response muffled by his shirt
cam pulled away before letting the two into the quite large air bnb, immediately showing them around.
"these are your rooms." he pointed to the two doors directly next to eachother.
"sweet, thanks man." lucas said as he entered his. "yeah thanks cam." nico added, walking into her room
cam nodded, "dont mention it guys, put your stuff down i want you to meet my two main players "
they both followed him into the living room when two boys sat, playing 2k
"guys! i want you to meet some people." he said as his filmer started to film "aight, boys this is lucas and nico saint. lucas is like my assistant coach, he'll help with plays. nico is his little sister she's just here to be here." he explained to the boys and the camera
he then turned to nico and lucas, "this is nelson and lavar." he pointed at the boys who's eyes were all focused on the siblings
lavar got up first, dabbing up lucas and hugging nico. nelson got up to do the same
"aight! now that everyone knows eachother, tomorrow we got tryouts for the chicago team, lets see how we do, see yall tomorrow!" he spoke to the camera before the filmer stopped recording and went to put the camera away
nico decided to go back to her room to unpack while lucas started to play 2k with the others.
