CHAPTER |18|

BLOOD

VIDHYA PoV

It was evening, the lights brighter in the dark sky. Disco music roared to life , people dancing, shouting the lyrics..

As soon as we reached the place, the place was packed with students. People were having drinks, enjoying the party to the fullest.

The house was large , half of the campus was there. The place was tightly packed and soft drinks, Booz , etc..

We entered the house, Rupa and Kruthika went towards the drink section. I looked around as they went to bring the drinks, the people were enjoying themselves.

*ring * *ring*

I look at my phone to find a unknown number, I answered .

"Hello"

I received no response. I left the place and went out.

"Hello"

Again no reply, I was about to cut the call.

I heard a faint  whistle sound, my breath quickened at the sound.

A sound of metal scrapping heard in the background.

I scanned my surroundings, it was dark and the pool was empty as the night was still young. Only few people were present in my eyesight.

I was about to cut the call in fear, "I wouldn't do that" a voice sized my action to cut the call.

"Haa , i have a surprise for the all of you. Do you wanna see it?" He voiced and laughed like a maniac.

"Surprise" he said and hugged the call.

Then I heard the same voice in the speakers. The whole house was dead silent except his voice, I was beside a pool only few people were there.

I rushed to call him but no signal. The whole crowed was running to exit but the exit was blocked . The metal doors wouldn't open.

Students who were drunk now were sobbed due to that one person's psychic voice.

"Aww students, who wants to escape can come forward to the metal gate again. I would send you to a permanent peace" he said and laughed again.

"Haa , I have a surprise.This a warning from me to ACP Varnesh , tell him 'he can't do anything?' Will you" he said . Then a heavy metal sound echoed .

Then a faint whistle sound.

By now I was shaking, the same person who called me , spoke to the whole crowed through the speakers. How?

Then we all heard a thud sound.

I looked at the pool, now it was in red colour. The pool was starting to fill with red colour.

I screamed in horror . Quickly people started to gather.

"Vidhya , look at me" i looked at Kruthika .

I looked at the pool , now a body (dead body) was floating on the pool. Red blood filled the whole pool.

My hands shook, my legs wobbled at the scene. Tears started to spill from my eyes, I sobbed harder.

I clutched Kruthika and cried.

I heard people calling the cops, Kruthika made me sit near chair.

"Drink it vidhu"rupa hands me a water bottle.

I take a sip and look at the both of them.

Many people have gathered around the pool. I looked at my both friends, I felt nauseous about the earlier scene.

"Can you all move away from the pool." I heard a gruff voice. I look ahead to see Jeeva Anna instructing the students to leave the place.

The police have arrived.

Rashmi sister , Adithya bro and Vishal bro and many police are enquiring the students about the incident.

I look back to my friends as they look at me with a concerned look . I know why they are looking concerned , because I was the one who witnessed the drop of the body in the pool first .

I was shaking due to the faint whistles sound being heard in my ear again and again. His voice , his warning.

The dead body shook me , my breathing quickened . I was having a panic attack. I was starting to hyperventilate.

"Hey vidhu , look at me ." I heard my friends but I just couldn't progress anything. It was like my body was trying to shut down due to the sudden overwhelming situation.

My vision started to blur , I was unable to see my surroundings. The voices of my friends muffled.

Before I knew I was about to faint , I was brought back my him. My Varnesh!

"Diya. Shit! Diya look at me" I heard his voice. ACP sirs voice, my vision blurred again.

"Diya" I heard him again. I blinked harder and looked at him.

"Sir" I mumbled. I hugged him and cried .

"He- he." I cried again, clutching on to him. I was unable to form words.

"I know baby. I know!" He mumbled and hugged me back.
