Khlea sat in the doctor's office, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew something was wrong, but she never expected to hear the words that came next.
"I'm sorry, Khlea. It's cancer."
All at once, her world came crashing down around him. she thought of Gino, her husband of ten years, and the life they had built together. She thought of their plans for the future, their dreams of growing old together.
